Hello I get how worrying it can be when your periods aren’t normal and you’re just spotting, especially when you’re feeling weak and underweight. I can give you some guidance based on Ayurveda. YOUR CONCERN –Patient: Female –Age: 37 –Kids: 2 –Weight: 48 kg (underweight) –Main Issues: –Periods are off –Spotting instead of a real flow –Low weight – Feeling weak AYURVEDIC VIEW In Ayurveda, this is called Artava Kshaya (light menstrual flow). It’s mainly caused by: – Vata dosha being too high – Weak digestion – Not enough Rasa & Rakta dhatu (nutrients and blood) – Being physically and mentally drained Basically, your body isn’t getting enough nutrients to make the right hormones and blood for a normal period, so you’re just spotting. WHAT WE’RE TRYING TO DO We need to: – Feed your body – Improve your digestion – Balance Vata – Get your ovaries and uterus working better – Help you gain weight and get stronger AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT 1 Ashokarishta 15 ml with equal parts water Twice a day after meals (Helps with periods and uterus health) 2.Shatavari kalpa 1 teaspoon with warm milk at night (Good for hormones, weight, and flow) 3. Lohasava 15 ml after lunch ( Builds blood and strength) 4.Ashwagandha 1 capsule at night Helps with weight gain and stress DIET PLAN Eat warm, filling, and oily foods. ✅ INCLUDE – Milk – Ghee (clarified butter) – Rice – Lentils (Dal) – Dates – Almonds – Bananas – Beetroot – Paneer (cheese) – Jaggery (unrefined sugar) ❌ AVOID – Too much tea/coffee – Skipping meals – Dry foods – Raw salads – Cold drinks LIFESTYLE TIPS – Sleep 7–8 hours – Avoid stress – Do gentle yoga – Don’t overdo it – Keep your lower belly warm IF SPOTTING DOESN’T STOP Maybe get these tests: * Hb (hemoglobin) * TSH (thyroid) * Pelvic ultrasound You can turn this around! Once your body gets the nutrients it needs, your hormones and periods should go back to normal. Give this a try for 2–3 months, and you should see: – Better flow – Regular periods – Weight gain – More energy Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

At thirty seven years and weight of forty eight kg the body often does not have enough strength to support healthy menstrual flow especially after two pregnancies When the body is underweight it naturally reduces menstrual flow because nourishment is insufficient The main focus should be on improving digestion absorption and gradual healthy weight gain rather than forcing periods Once the body starts getting proper nutrition and strength periods usually improve on their own Irregular meals stress poor sleep and long term weakness can all contribute to scanty periods You should take warm freshly cooked food at regular times and avoid skipping meals Include nourishing foods with good fats like ghee nuts seeds and milk if it suits you Avoid excessive tea coffee cold foods and very dry diet Proper rest and stress control are equally important because mental strain also affects periods With the right ayurvedic medicines along with diet and lifestyle correction weight gain and menstrual improvement are possible but it takes some time usually a few months Spotting like this is reversible and there is no need to panic but treatment should be done patiently and in a nourishing way

HELLO, You are 37 years old, mother of two children, with low body weight (48 kg) and irregular periods with spotting instead of proper flow In Ayurveda, this condition is commonly understood as a disturbance of vata and Pitta dosha, along with weak nourishment of body tissues (dhatu kshaya) WHY THIS IS HAPPENING 1) LOW BODY WEIGHT AND WEAK NUTRITION -Your body is not getting enough nourishment to properly form rasa dhatu (nutrient fluid) and rakta dhatu (blood) -Menstrual blood is by -product of healthy rasa and rakta. when they are weak-> periods become scanty or spotting 2) VATA DOSHA AGGRAVATION -vata controls movement and flow when aggravated it causes -irregular cycle -delayed or scanty bleeding -anxiety, dryness, fatigue 3) PITTA IMBALANCE -causes spotting instead of proper flow -heat in the body dries menstrual blood quickly -> brown or light bleeding 4) AGE FACTOR -After 35 years, hormonal balance naturally starts fluctuation -If nutrition is low, symptoms appear earlier TREATMENT GOALS -improve digestion and absorption -nourish body tissues -normalize menstrual flow -gradually increase healthy body weight -balance hormones naturally -improve strength, energy and mental calmness INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) ASHOKARISHTA= 20 ml with equal water twice daily after meals for 4 months =tones uterus, regulates menstrual flow, reduces spotting, corrects hormonal imbalance 2) DASHMOOLARISHTA= 15ml with equal water twice daily after meals =pacifies vata, improves pelvic circulation, reduces weakness and pain 3) SHATAVARI CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm milk once daily at bedtime =best female rejuvenative, nourishes reproductive tissues, improves estrogen balance, helps weight gain naturallly 4) DRAKSHAVALEHA= 1 tsp twice daily = improves blood formation, helps healthy weight gain, reduces fatigue and dryness 5) LOHASAVA= 15ml with equal water after meals =improves hemoglobin, corrects spotting due to weakness EXTERNAL THERAPIES 1) OIL MASSAGE= BALASHWAGANDHADI TAILA -3-4 times/week =pacifies vata, improves weight, reduces hormonal stress DIET -warm, nourishing, unctous food -warm milk boiled with dates or figs -homemade ghee 1-2 tsp/day -rice, wheat, oats -moong dal, massor dal -cooked vegetables pumpkin, carrot, beetroot -dates, raisins, figs soaked overnight -banana, mango, chikoo -nuts= almonds , walnuts cooked AVOID -very spicy food -dry foods biscuits, chips -excess tea/coffee -cold drinks -skipping meals -raw salads at night HOME REMEDIES -Sesame jaggery 1 tsp daily= excellent for periods and weight gain -Milk with dates= boil 2-3 dates in milk drink at night -Ajwain small pinch with jaggery after meals- improves digestion and flow YOGA ASANAS -baddha konasana -malasana -bhujangasana -supta baddha konasana PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= 10 min -Bhramari= 5 rounds -Avoid excessive kapalbhati (can worsen weight loss) LIFESTYLE CHANGES -sleep before 10:30pm -avoid excessive physical strain -reduce mental stress -gentle daily walk -warm oil massage to lower abdomen weekly DURATION -First improvement= 1-2 cycles -Proper flow and weight gain= 3-6 months -Ayurveda works gradually but permanently Your condition is very manageable with Ayurveda. The body is simply asking for nourishment, balance, and rest With proper diet, medicines, and lifestyle correction, your periods can normalize and healthy weight gain is achievable Treat the root, not just the symptom- this is the Ayurvedic way DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR.
