Hello Sapna, Too much of hair fall accompanied by dandruff can indicate an imbalance in Kapha dosha and Pitta dosha in Ayurveda, often linked to factors such as stress, improper diet, and insufficient scalp care. For effective management, consider using herbal formulations like Bhringraj (Eclipta alba), Jatamansi (Nardostachys Jatamansi) and Amla (Indian gooseberry), both of which are known to strengthen hair follicles and promote hair growth. You can use Bhringraj oil or Amla oil for regular scalp massages, which improve circulation and nourish the roots. Additionally, Neem (Azadirachta indica) is beneficial for treating dandruff; using Neem oil or a Neem-based shampoo can help reduce flakiness and soothe the scalp. For oral supplementation, consider taking Himalaya’s Nourishing Hair Oil or Baidyanath's Kesharaja tablets, which are formulated to support hair health from within. Incorporating a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly B vitamins, zinc, and Omega-3 fatty acids, can also enhance hair strength. It’s import ant to stay hydrated and manage stress through practices like yoga and meditation, as stress can exacerbate both hair fall and dandruff. Regularly cleansing your scalp with a mild, Ayurvedic shampoo will help maintain scalp health, while avoiding harsh chemicals that can further irritate the skin. If the condition persists, consulting with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for tailored treatments and deeper detoxification methods may be beneficial.

Hair fall can be quite distressing, right? Especially when it seems like every time you run your fingers through your hair, you lose a few more strands. Dandruff could definitely be a culprit here, causing irritations that lead to hair loss. Let's explore what you can do from an Ayurvedic standpoint. Many times, hair fall correlates with an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, which governs heat and metabolism in the body. Excessive Pitta might make the scalp hot and itchy, creating flakes and eventually, hair fall. What you might want to do first is to cool down the pitta with dietary changes: avoid spicy, fried, and oily foods as much you can because they're a recipe for aggravating Pitta. Stick to cooling foods like cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens. Also, try massaging your scalp with warm coconut or sesame oil mixed with a few drops of neem or tea tree oil once or twice a week. Leave it in for an hour or overnight if you manage and rinse with a mild shampoo. Neem has antifungal properties that tackle dandruff right at the source! Hydration matters a lot in Ayurveda too, sometimes it’s overlooked. Drink plenty of water – aim for 8-10 cups a day, it can help to flush out the toxins and maintain fluid balance. Remember, a healthy scalp is a hydrated one! Oh, and don't forget your sleep! Ensure you’re getting enough rest, as stress and lack of sleep can also add fuel to this fire. Practice pranayama breathing techniques – like anulom vilom – that help calm the mind and body, reducing stress holistically. If the dandruff is very persistent or gets painful, think about an Ayurvedic herbal consultation because you could need more specific treatment or remedies like Triphala or Amla (Indian gooseberry) internally to purify the system. But remember to always be kind to your hair. Don't go too rough with brushing or styling, gentle is key here! So, give these a try and see if they help settle things down. And please do check in with a professional if things aren’t looking up soon. Your health always comes first.
