Doctors’ responses
Frequent urination, especially when it improves temporarily with medication but returns after stopping treatment, can have various causes even if your blood tests, sonography, and urine tests are normal. Since you’ve tried both allopathic and homeopathic treatments with limited success, it’s important to consider a few possibilities:
Overactive Bladder (OAB): This condition leads to frequent urges to urinate during the day, even without an infection or physical abnormalities. It can be triggered by stress, diet, or certain bladder irritants like caffeine or alcohol.
Bladder Irritation or Sensitivity: Even though tests are normal, sometimes bladder irritation can cause frequent urination, which may not always be visible in standard tests.
Diet and Fluid Intake: Drinking excessive amounts of liquids, especially caffeinated or sugary beverages, could be contributing to your symptoms. On the other hand, dehydration can also irritate the bladder.
Psychological Factors: Anxiety and stress can contribute to frequent urination, so if you’re under stress, it might be a factor.
Hormonal Imbalances or Medications: Hormonal changes or side effects from medications (including both allopathic and homeopathic) might also cause increased urination.
It would be helpful to track your fluid intake and the timing of your urination to look for patterns. It might also be useful to consult a urologist or a specialist in functional medicine who can perform a more in-depth investigation, such as urodynamic testing or a bladder function evaluation, to better understand your condition. Additionally, consider lifestyle changes like reducing caffeine, alcohol, and managing stress to see if these help with your symptoms.
Just one question can it be cured completely
Sounds like a frustrating situation you’re dealing with. If your reports are all normal, it’s unlikely there’s a severe underlying problem, but frequent urination can still be bothersome. Ayurveda looks at this through the lens of doshas, and often Vata imbalance can be a reason behind frequent urination. It’s also possible that your agni or digestive fire isn’t in balance and might be affecting your body’s processing. Here are some things to consider:
First things first, let’s talk diet. Avoid diuretics like caffeine-heavy drinks which stimulate the bladder. Cut back on too many liquid-based foods, like watermelon, cucumber, and avoid excessive intake of cold fluids. Try drinking warm water or herbal teas instead, like ginger tea which warms the digestive tract.
Include more grounding and nourishing foods in your diet, such as whole grains, sweet potatoes, nuts and seeds which help balance Vata. But remember, eat at regular intervals, avoiding irregular meal times as this can disrupt your digestive fire.
Then there’s lifestyle stuff; make sure you’re not rushing through your day – take time to rest and avoid unnecessary stress. Try practicing yogic exercises (like Viparita Karani or legs-up-the-wall) to help calm your system, and focusing on slow, deep breathing. Meditation could help to center your mind and body.
A quick clarification tho – while Ayurveda’s great and all, do keep your primary health care provider in the loop when trying any new routines. Don’t forget to keep hydrated as well, but if you’re downing litres of water at once, try spacing it out evenly.
In case dude, if things start to get troublesome again, like if your symptoms worsen or you feel unwell generally, seek immediate help! I hope these suggestions help you find a balance, but always make sure you’re minding your own body and how it feels.
