Your condition is due to disc bulge pressing on the nerve but at this stage it can be managed without surgery in most cases continue physiotherapy gently to strengthen your back and reduce pressure along with this take Myaxyl capsules one twice daily after food Yograj guggulu one tablet twice daily after food and Maharasnadi kwath 15 ml with equal warm water twice daily after food apply Mahanarayana taila locally over lower back and do mild heat fomentation daily avoid bending lifting and long sitting take warm simple food and be regular with routine with consistent care you can gradually become pain free and live normally

Hello I can understand your concern when you have been diagnosed with disc bulge with stenosis and you have already been suggested for surgery But dont worry i will guide you honestly 😊 ▪️For your understanding Your MRI is shown as -bulge + Extrusion means it is pressing on nerve -Stenosis -Reduce space -Nerve indentation is the cause of pain ▪️Important This is a degenerative condition Many people live asymptotic with similar MRI finding Pain occurs due to inflammation and nerve impingement ▪️Ayurvedic plan of treatment ➖Yogaraj guggulu 1 tablet twice daily after food Helps in reducing vata and inflammation ➖Dashmoolaristha 20 ml twice daily after food It is powerful anti-inflammatory ➖Rasnaspathaka kwatha tablets 2 tablets twice daily after food ➖GT capsule 1 at bed time Reduce inflammation This will help to reduce pain and also improve motility ▪️Panchakarma -most effective This is the game changer You will feel significant relief with this ➖Kati basti Oil retained over lower back Helps relieve nerve Compression ➖Basti therapy One of the best treatment for vata imbalances -also prevents further degeneration ➖Local abhayanga and swedana It improves circulation Relieves stiffness. ▪️Role of physiotherapy Yes physiotherapy is important Focus on -Strengthening exercises -Extension -Stretching of hamstrings Avoid -bending forward -sudden jerky movement ▪️Diet Plan Include Warm freshly prepared food 1 tsp of ghee daily -golden milk at night ( milk + turmeric) ▪️About surgery Consider surgery only when -Pain is severe -loss of bladder or bowel. Control -weakness in both lower limbs So your condition is very well manageable but panchakarma is essential Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Yes you will be able to live life pain free but it also depends on what other symptoms you are having including any radiating pain down lower limbs, burning sensation, numbness, pins and needles sensation etc. what is the degree of your pain currently? Also do you have constipation or unsatisfactory bowel movements? Specially mention it if you have a history of fall or trauma. The medications are suggested here and I advise you to also start panchakarma treatments. If not institutions are nearby you can start it yourself with a potali made of kottamchukkadi choorna for 7 days then a kati pichu with sahacharadi taila and bandage. Which I can guide you through if there’s no option available for panchkarma

MRI it shows that the L5-S1 disc has a general bulge and a left-sided extrusion causing moderate narrowing of the central spinal canal and some compression of the left nerve root This is likely the reason for your lower back pain leg pain or tingling At 50 it is common for discs to degenerate but with proper care you can live a good quality life without surgery Surgery is only needed if there is severe leg weakness loss of bladder or bowel control or unbearable pain that does not improve with treatment Since you want to avoid surgery the focus should be on relieving pain reducing nerve irritation improving flexibility and strengthening the muscles supporting your spine Physiotherapy is very helpful and should include core strengthening gentle stretching posture correction and nerve mobilization exercises Ayurvedic medicines can support spine health and reduce inflammation You can take Yograj guggulu two tablets twice daily Maharasnadi kwath 20 ml twice daily Rasnadi choornam half teaspoon with warm water twice daily Mahanarayana taila for local massage and Normact one tablet at night for nerve support With regular physiotherapy and these Ayurvedic medicines pain can be reduced mobility can improve and you can live a near normal active life

Namaste, Your condition — disc bulge at L5-S1 with nerve compression and stenosis — indicates pressure on the nerve with vata aggravation affecting the lower back and legs. The focus should be on reducing nerve compression, relieving pain, and improving spinal support without strain. Avoid forward bending, heavy lifting, and prolonged sitting. Use a firm mattress and maintain proper posture. Gentle physiotherapy and guided exercises are very helpful and should be continued regularly. Avoid sudden movements and jerks. Mild heat application over the lower back can help reduce stiffness. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Yogaraja Guggulu – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Mahayogaraja Guggulu – 1 tablet, twice daily after food Dashmoolarishta – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after food External application: Apply Mahanarayana Taila or Dhanwantharam Taila over the lower back, followed by gentle massage and mild fomentation (heat) These are traditionally used to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support nerve function when combined with proper care and physiotherapy. In many cases, with consistent treatment and precautions, people are able to manage pain and live normally without surgery. However, it requires regular care and avoiding strain. Improvement is gradual and may take a few weeks to months. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.

LCS with disc bulge can be treated with ayurveda. But you need panchkarma for that. Medicine may provide relief for few time but not on long run. I have been seeing patients with this condition for more than a year. Till then, Take yograj gugulu 500 mg twice a day(chew) Maharasnadi kwath 30 ml twice a day Tablet shallaki 600 mg twice a day(for pain)
