In Ayurveda, the absence of sensation during intercourse can be linked to a depletion of ojas (vital energy), imbalance in vata dosha, or a disturbance in sattva (mental clarity and emotional well-being). Since you’re experiencing erections and ejaculation, the issue likely lies in the subtle energies, not physical function. A holistic treatment would include restoring balance to the nervous system and improving circulation. Herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari, combined with regular practice of yoga and meditation to calm the mind, can support sexual vitality. Additionally, a nourishing diet rich in healthy fats, such as ghee and nuts, and reducing stress through lifestyle changes can help. I recommend consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for a detailed, personalized treatment plan.

Namaste, How long is this situation for? Lack of penile sensation during intercourse, despite having normal erection and ejaculation, can be due to several factors, including nerve function issues, psychological factors, or circulatory problems. Since this has been present from your first sexual experience, it may indicate congenital nerve sensitivity issues, excessive past masturbation, desensitization from pornography, or psychological factors like anxiety or performance pressure. In some cases, conditions like diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, or nerve damage can also affect sensation. It is important to identify whether this is a physical or psychological issue through proper medical evaluation.

One possible reason is nerve desensitization, which can happen due to frequent stimulation from masturbation, tight clothing, or prolonged sitting. Improving nerve health with exercises, pelvic floor therapy, and Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Kapikacchu may help. Poor blood circulation can also reduce sensitivity, so practicing yoga, regular physical activity, and Ayurvedic oil massages with Mahanarayan oil can improve blood flow to the genital area. If anxiety is contributing to the problem, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and exploring different forms of foreplay may help in enhancing sensation naturally.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, imbalance in Vata dosha can lead to nerve dysfunction and reduced sensitivity. Consuming warm, nourishing foods, herbal supplements, and avoiding excessive spicy or processed foods may help restore balance. Additionally, reducing excessive masturbation or pornography consumption and allowing the body to reset naturally can improve sensitivity over time. If the issue persists, consulting a urologist, sexologist, or Ayurvedic doctor for a detailed evaluation is recommended to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

This situation can be quite perplexing, I imagine it must feel a tad disheartening. But let’s break it down a bit. Since you’re experiencing erection and ejaculation, it indicates some aspects of physical functioning are intact, yet the absence of sensation is something we should look deeper into.

Let’s think of the possibility of a Vata imbalance. Vata does control the nervous system in Ayurveda, and when off balance, it might lead to numbness or loss of sensation. So, focusing on calming Vata might be a good first step.

I’d suggest incorporating some grounding practices. Begin with a daily self-abhyanga (oil massage) using warm sesame oil or even Ashwagandha Bala oil. Pour a bit of oil in your hands, rub them together, and gently massage your body, focusing on the limbs and torso. Do this in the morning before showering, letting it soak in for about 15 minutes.

Dietary wise, warm and moist foods could be very beneficial. Perhaps, kitchari or soups with spices like turmeric and ginger can be added to your meals. Avoid cold and dry foods which might aggravate the Vata dosha.

Even though it seems a bit unfocused, pay attention to your lifestyle too. Make space for regular routines and calming activities like yoga or even pranayama. Simple breathing exercises such as Nadi Shodhana can really help with mental relaxation.

All of this said, if this lack of sensation persists, I really recommend seeing a healthcare provider or neurologist. Best to rule out any underlying conditions that Ayurveda might not fully address. Till then, try the steps above and give your body some time to adjust to these changes. Oh, and remember to stay hydrated and get enough sleep – never underestimate basics!

All these guidances are intended to empower you. However, if there’s an urgent concern, professional medical help is always the best route. Take care!
