Ok, thank you
Prolactin levels indeed play a significant role in menstrual cycles. Elevated prolactin can disrupt ovulation, leading to irregular periods like you’re experiencing. When periods become very frequent or irregular, as you’ve described, it can be quite concerning. Rather than simply treating symptoms such as the irregular cycles, Ayurveda focuses on balancing the body’s underlying energies, which may address the root cause.
Since you’re on homeopathic medicine, it’s important to discuss any ayurvedic remedies you might consider with your current practitioner. But from an Ayurvedic perspective, the imbalance you’re experiencing might be linked to a Vata and possibly Pitta disturbance, affecting your reproductive health.
First, focus on your diet to help pacify these doshas. Include warm, nourishing foods like cooked vegetables, rice, whole grains, and a bit of ghee. Avoid cold, raw foods, and overly spicy items, as they may aggravate Pitta and Vata. Regular meal times can help stabilize your body’s rhythms.
Herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari are considered beneficial in balancing hormones and improving reproductive health. Typically, 1/2 teaspoon of Shatavari powder in warm milk, taken twice daily could be helpful, but dosages must be personalized, considering your overall constitution and current medications, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to confirm this.
Managing stress is crucial as excessive strain often affects hormone levels. Practices such as Yoga, especially calming poses, and Pranayama (breathing exercises) can support mental well-being. A consistent sleep schedule is equally vital.
Finally, ensure you maintain regular communication with your healthcare providers to monitor prolactin levels and make necessary adjustments in your treatment plan. This is particularly important to avoiding complications like anemia from frequent spots. If the symptoms persist or worsen, prioritize consulting medical professional for a comprehensive evaluation.
