Gaining Healthy Weight - #20784

Lawrence Okaki

I am diabetic. I have been controlling the disease through diet. I don't take carbohydrates or any sugary food. I am on keto diet with my diet comprising 90% proteins and fats. However, I have lost excess weight in the last 2 months. I have lost more than 10 kilogrammes. I want to gain the healthy weight of at least 10 kilogrammes, probably in a short time. I don't want to go back to eating carbohydrates to gain the weight. What should I do? What shouldn't I do? Is there a drug you recommend or a supplement?

I am not on any diabetic drugs. i currently weigh 57 kilograms. i want to reach at least 68 in a month or two

Thanks for explaining clearly. Since you’re following a strict keto diet for diabetes and want to gain healthy weight quickly without carbs, here’s a simple, safe, and effective plan: Increase Calorie Intake with Healthy Fats Even on keto, you need to eat more calories than you burn to gain weight. Add more of: Ghee, coconut oil, olive oil – Add to all meals. Nut butters – 2–3 tablespoons daily. Full-fat cheese and paneer (if tolerated). Fatty meats and eggs – Cook with ghee or butter. Add Keto-Friendly Protein + Fat Shakes Make shakes using: Whey isolate protein (no sugar or carbs) Nut butte Unsweetened almond milk Drink this 1–2 times a day as a meal or snack. It’s calorie-dense but won’t raise blood sugar. Ashwagandha +Shatavari+Safed Musli - each 1/4 th tsp with warm water /nut milk once daily Include Keto-Friendly Snacks Between Meals Boiled eggs Avocado slices Cheese cubes Roasted nuts (like walnuts, almonds, macadamia) Don’t go overboard with protein alone—it should be moderate. Too much can affect your blood sugar. Don’t take mass gainers made for bodybuilders—most contain sugar or carbs. Don’t skip meals or fast while trying to gain weight.
