Your inability to lose weight despite a healthy diet suggests metabolic imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and possible hormonal resistance. Let’s address the root causes with Ayurveda-based strategies and scientific interventions for weight loss, reducing belly fat, and improving overall health Low Testosterone & Protein Deficiency → Leads to muscle loss, slow metabolism, and fat accumulation. Vitamin B12 & D Deficiency → Causes low energy, weak digestion, and poor fat metabolism. Anaemia (Low Iron Levels) → Decreases oxygen supply to muscles, making workouts less effective. Grade 2 Fatty Liver → Leads to poor digestion, bloating, and weight gain. Excess Body Heat & Gas Formation → Imbalance in Pitta & Vata doshas, making digestion weak Start on Jeera + Ajwain + Saunf Water: Soak 1 tsp of each overnight in 1 liter of water. Boil and drink throughout the day. Helps with bloating, liver detox, and digestion. 2. Triphala Churna (1 tsp) + Warm Water: Every night before bed—cleanses the liver and intestines. 3. Aloe Vera & Amla Juice: 20 ml in the morning—improves digestion and reduces heat. ⸻ Morning soaked Almonds (5) + Walnuts (2) + Black Raisins (5) Include High-Protein, Low-Carb Meal Moong Dal Chilla with Mint Chutney Sprouts Chaat with Lemon & Rock Salt Besan Chilla with Curd Avoid: Bread, Maida, Sugar, and Fruit juices White Rice, Potato, Refined Oil, Pickles, processed foods Take 1. Kanchanar Guggulu ( 1 tablet twice a day) 2. Liv 52 DS (1 tablet twice a day) Ashwagandha Capsules (1 capsule once daily) Walking 10,000 Steps Daily → Start with 30 min brisk walk, increase to 45 min. Strength Training 3 Times a Week → Bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups, and planks will boost metabolism. Anulom Vilom (15 min daily) → Helps with bloating & weight loss. Important: Resting too much slows metabolism—avoid sleeping during the day! Drink 3-4 Liters of Water Daily Sleep by 10:30 PM Sunlight Exposure (15 min daily)

Weight gain, bloating, and difficulty losing inches can be due to multiple factors — hormonal imbalance, poor digestion, vitamin deficiencies, and fatty liver. In Ayurveda, this may be caused by an imbalance in Kapha dosha — leading to sluggish metabolism, water retention, and fat accumulation. Vata imbalance can also cause excess gas and bloating. How is your digestion — do you experience constipation, acidity, or irregular bowel movements? Do you feel tired, weak, or have low energy levels? How is your sleep quality — do you wake up refreshed? Do you experience mood changes, stress, or anxiety? Have you ever had hormonal tests like insulin resistance, cortisol, or testosterone levels checked? Please try and give this information to help you better !

Hello Amar, Despite walking in the morning, your metabolism might be slow due to deficiencies and possible hormonal imbalances. Your body heat and intolerance to summer indicate aggravated pitta dosha, while bloating and gas suggest vata imbalance. Further details are needed regarding your digestion, appetite, sleep patterns, stress levels, and past illnesses. Have you experienced sudden weight gain, emotional eating, or irregular bowel movements? For ayurvedic treatment, consider triphala churna before bed for digestion and detoxification, punarnava churna to reduce water retention, arogyavardhini vati for liver health and metabolism, ashwagandha and shatavari to balance hormones and improve energy, methi (fenugreek) water in the morning to regulate metabolism, and udvarthanam therapy (dry herbal powder massage) for weight loss. Follow a light, warm diet with moong dal, lauki, bitter gourd, and leafy greens. Reduce heavy grains like wheat and opt for millets. Practice kapalabhati and bhastrika pranayama to boost metabolism.

Have one to two glasses of warm water with lemon and honey in the morning on an empty stomach. Sip lukewarm water through the day, a natural detoxifier. Try herbal teas like ginger or CCF tea (cumin, coriander and fennel) or tea spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and Tulsi (holy basil). Sip warm water about 45min before meals to ignite Agni and combat pseudo-hunger. Avoid drinking water with your meal. If you’re thirsty, sip warm water or ginger tea. Don’t drink water immediately after a meal. Wait for about half an hour. Cut down on beverages like caffeinated tea, coffee and aerated drinks. Have herbal tea or warm water instead. Vaman or emesis is a commonly used procedure in obesity management as it works of Kapha dosha. It also helps in obesity which is coupled with hypothyroidism and PCOD. Virechana or purgation is rarely used if the patient is not eligible for Vamana and needs detox or has a pitta constitution. Basti or medicated enema is also widely used for this purpose with a specific combination of herbs.

Dear Adha Selvaraj, From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms indicate an imbalance primarily in Kapha and Vata doshas, affecting metabolism (Agni), hormonal balance, and joint health. Tab. Medohara vati 1 tab 1 hour before lunch and dinner with warm water soak methi seeds 1/4 tsp overnight.. chew it on empty stomach at morning Start your day with warm water and Lemon-Turmeric-Honey to boost metabolism. ensure 7-8 hours of rest with a consistent routine.

I would need to know more about your current lifestyle, digestion, sleep patterns, and stress levels. Additionally, information about your dietary habits (types of foods, meal timing, and any food intolerances), your menstrual history (if still relevant), and any family history of metabolic or autoimmune diseases would be helpful. It's also important to understand your emotional state and mental well-being, as Ayurvedic treatment often considers the mind-body connection. From an Ayurvedic perspective, weight management and insulin resistance can often be linked to an imbalance in the Kapha dosha, which governs metabolism, stability, and structure. The excess weight, along with insulin resistance and cortisol imbalance, can indicate Vata-Kapha or Pitta-Kapha imbalances. Ayurvedic treatments aim to harmonize these doshas through diet, herbal remedies, detoxification practices (like Panchakarma), and lifestyle changes. For temporary relief and support, herbs like Guggulu (for metabolism), Triphala (for digestion and detox), and Guduchi (for immune and inflammation support) may be recommended. A warm water detox in the morning, with Cinnamon and Fenugreek seeds, may help manage insulin sensitivity and balance blood sugar levels. Regular practice of yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being.

Hello Adha, According to Ayurvedic way of management of hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, and weight challenges focuses on balancing the Kapha and Vata doshas, enhancing metabolism (Agni), and reducing inflammation. Herbal formulations like Kanchanar Guggulu are often recommended to support thyroid function and reduce excess fat, while Triphala Churna aids digestion and detoxification. Ashwagandha can help regulate cortisol levels and reduce stress, supporting adrenal function. Additionally, Guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia) is beneficial in reducing inflammation and improving insulin sensitivity. Diet - A Kapha-pacifying diet consisting of warm, light meals with minimal sugar and processed foods is suggested, along with the inclusion of metabolism-boosting spices like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Millets such as ragi and bajra are preferable over refined grains. Regular exercise, particularly Yoga and breathing practices like Kapalbhati and Bhastrika, can further stimulate metabolism and enhance overall well-being. Therapy- Abhyanga (oil massage) using sesame or mustard oil is recommended to improve circulation and alleviate joint pain caused by osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. - Managing stress through meditation and relaxation therapies like Shirodhara also supports hormonal balance.

Triphala powder- Drinking a glass of warm water mixed with triphala powder before bedtime can help regulate bowel movements and aid in weight loss. Triphala also helps detoxify the body and reduce inflammation. Lemon juice - Drinking warm water with lemon juice first thing in the morning can help jumpstart your metabolism and aid in digestion. Lemon contains citric acid, which helps break down fat and suppress appetite. This simple remedy can also help flush out toxins and prevent bloating Ginger tea- Drinking ginger tea can help improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and boost metabolism. Ginger contains compounds called gingerols and shogaols that help burn belly fat by increasing the body's metabolic rate. Eat a low-fat diet Practice yoga Certain yoga postures like the Boat Pose, Cobra Pose, and Plank Pose can specifically target belly fat and tone the abdominal muscles.
