It sounds like there's quite a bit going on for you, and it's important to approach this with care. Ayurveda can offer support, but let me be clear—if this fear is strong and persistent, you should definitely consider talking to a healthcare professional or therapist to explore what's happening on a deeper level. They can provide you the immediate support you might need. From an Ayurvedic perspective, fear often relates to an imbalance in Vata dosha, which governs movement and the nervous system. When Vata is out of balance, it can lead to anxiety, restlessness, and fear. Since you've been experiencing these feelings since January, it could be beneficial to incorporate some calming and grounding practices. First, think about incorporating a daily self-massage (Abhyanga) with warm sesame oil. That's soothing and brings a sense of stability. Do this in the morning before your shower if possible. Diet can also influence how you feel. Aim for warm, cooked meals—soups, stews, and root vegetables like sweet potatoes or beets. Avoid stimulants like caffeine which can aggravate Vata. For herbal support, consider Ashwagandha as it offers calming properties. A typical dose might be around 500 mg of the powdered root once or twice a day after meals, but can vary so it's best to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor a dosage right for you. Breathing exercises and meditation are also valuable. Try "Nadi Shodhana" (alternate nostril breathing) for a few minutes daily. Sitting quietly, focusing on your breath none too crazy, just light a candle if you like. These are steps you can take, but again, don't hesitate to reach out to other supportive resources, too. You deserve to feel safe and supported in exploring these fears.
