Dr. Harshita Hyati
I have gained comprehensive clinical experience through my internship and professional duties, which has laid a strong foundation for my medical practice. During my internship, I worked extensively across multiple departments, including casualty, general medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics & gynecology at the Government District Hospital, Gadag. This exposure allowed me to handle a variety of acute and chronic cases, sharpen my clinical assessment skills, and actively participate in patient management under the guidance of senior medical professionals. Following this, I served as a duty doctor at AYUSH Hospital, Gadag Betgeri, where I applied my Ayurvedic knowledge in a clinical setting and contributed to patient care in both outpatient and inpatient departments. I successfully completed 366 days of rigorous internship training at DGM Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Gadag, where I was involved in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning under supervision. My time there allowed me to integrate classical Ayurvedic principles with practical patient care while developing a keen understanding of hospital operations and multidisciplinary collaboration. These experiences have enhanced my ability to handle diverse medical conditions confidently while maintaining a patient-centered approach. I am dedicated to continuing my journey as an Ayurvedic practitioner with the same passion and commitment, focusing on delivering quality, evidence-based, and holistic healthcare.

It seems like you might be experiencing symptoms of urticaria, commonly known as hives. In Ayurveda, this condition can be related to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha, which becomes aggravated with the consumption of certain foods you mentioned like non-vegetarian dishes, curd, and brinjal. These types of foods are known to increase Pitta and Kapha, possibly leading to skin reactions. To address this condition from an Ayurvedic perspective, a few dietary and lifestyle changes can be beneficial: 1. Try reducing or avoiding foods that aggravate your condition. This includes non-vegetarian food, dairy products like curd, brinjal, spicy and fried foods. Opt for cooling and easily digestible foods like green vegetables, bitter gourd, pointed gourd, etc. Drinking luke warm water throughot the day can also aid in digestion. 2. Incorporate herbs like Neem, Turmeric, and Guduchi into your daily routine. Neem and Turmeric are known for their anti-inflammatory properties, while Guduchi helps in detoxifying the body. Simple turmeric milk (Golden milk) can be taken at night, with a small pinch of turmeric and jaggery if you like, in a cup of warm milk. 3. Manage stress with daily practices like Yoga or meditation, as stress can exacerbate skin conditions. Even simple Pranayama (breathing exercises) could be helpful here. 4. Consider a traditional Ayurvedic therapy such as Panchakarma, which includes detoxification procedures. However, this should always be performed under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. 5. Also, maintaining a regular sleep schedule can help in balancing the body’s natural rhythms, supporting skin health. Aim for 7-8 hours of restful sleep. 6. Applying a paste of Sandalwood or Aloe Vera gel on affected skin can offer relief from itching and redness. These are both cooling and soothing, which can be conducive to reducing Pitta. Remember to monitor your condition and consult with health professionals regularly. If the symptoms become severe or do not improve, it’s important to seek immediate medical attention.
