Hey, it sounds pretty frustrating dealing with seeing lines persistently. Hallucinations are complex and finding the right treatment can be tricky sometimes. While ashwagandha is a well-respected herb in Ayurveda known for it's adaptogenic properties—meaning it helps your body cope with stress—it isn't necessarily a direct remedy for hallucinations. Ayurveda looks at everything in context, like dosha imbalances or disrupted mind-body harmony. Ashwagandha might help with stress or anxiety if they're underlying issues, but it's not a primary treatment for hallucinations. If you're already on an antipsychotic and it’s not working effectively, you really ought to consult your psychiatrist or healthcare provider. They can help you explore whether a different medication might suit you better. That said, incorporating ashwagandha into your regimen to support mental well-being is worth considering. Try a standardized extract, usually around 300-500 mg, once or twice a day after meals, to support your overall resilience. It's generally considered safe, but check with a healthcare provider—especially since you're on antipsychotics, to avoid any possible interactions. Also, don't overlook the basics. Regular routines, balanced meals, and enough sleep can bring some stability. Avoid caffeine and stimulants. Meditation, gentle yoga, or pranayama (breathing exercises) could offer support in calming the mind too. But really, if your hallucinations persist or worsen, seeking professional medical advice would be essential. It’s all about creating a supportive, tailored approach that considers your unique situation, ya know?
