Rheumatoid arthritis, according to Ayurveda, can be managed but is considered challenging to completely cure, especially as it is a chronic autoimmune condition. In ayurveda, rheumatoid arthritis correlates with a condition known as “Amavata.” The imbalance primarily involves the Vata dosha along with the accumulation of “Ama” (toxic, undigested materials in the body) leading to inflammation and pain, particularly in the joints. At your age and considering a history of miscarriages, achieving a healthy pregnancy involves multi-faceted approach combining lifestyle, dietary, and herbal interventions.

Firstly, focusing on digestive health to eliminate “Ama” is crucial. This involves enhancing the “Agni” (digestive fire) with spices like ginger, and turmeric. Sipping on warm water infused with fresh ginger before meals can help in this regard.

Diet is also critical, and you should emphasize on eating easily digestible foods. Opt for warm, cooked meals like soups and stews, avoid raw, cold, or processed foods that can exacerbate “Ama.” Incorporate foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like flaxseeds, and walnuts to help with inflammation.

In terms of herbal support, herbs like Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), known for its anti-inflammatory properties and rejuvenating effects, may aid in managing symptoms and supporting overall vitality and reproductive health. Boswellia (Salai guggul) has also been traditionally used for joint health.

Stress management is equally important. Regular practice of Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation can help manage stress and improve overall well-being. Gentle yoga focusing on joint mobility can also be beneficial.

However, given the recurrent miscarriages and age-related factors, it’s important to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner and your healthcare provider to adjust treatments specific to your constitution and health status. Ayurveda supports integrative approaches, so coordinating Ayurvedic treatment with your current medical care is advisable. In some cases, deeper Panchakarma (Ayurvedic detoxification therapy) may be considered, but this requires supervision by skilled practitioners.

It’s essential to be patient and committed to a lifestyle and dietary regimen, as chronic conditions like rheumatoid arthritis benefit from a long-term holistic approach rather than quick fixes.
