Muktavati is an ayurvedic formulation often used for managing high blood pressure (BP), like in your case where it’s 140/90 at age 25. However, individual reactions can vary and some people might experience gastrointestinal disturbances such as stomach pain or gas. This could be due to the body’s response to certain ingredients in Muktavati, which may be unfamiliar to your digestion. Ayurvedic texts suggest that a sensitive digestive fire (agni) or an imbalance in the doshas, especially Vata dosha, might contribute to such symptoms.

Given your vitamin D deficiency, it is worth addressing this concurrently through diet and safe sun exposure, as it could potentially affect overall wellbeing, including digestive health indirectly. Vitamin D helps in various bodily functions including the immune system and might indirectly affect gut health.

Triphala churna might offer some relief, as it is known for supporting digestion and easing constipation by balancing the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. You could take one teaspoon of Triphala churna mixed in lukewarm water before bed. This may help manage gas and stomach discomfort, provided you’re not intolerant to any of its ingredients.

For dietary modifications, consider a light diet that’s easily digestible. Include warm, cooked foods and avoid raw, cold, or overly processed foods that can aggravate your condition. Ginger tea, cumin seeds, and asafoetida in food might help enhance digestion.

If the discomfort persists, it’s advisable to stop using the Muktavati and consult with an Ayurvedic physician or a gastroenterologist for an in-depth evaluation to address any underlying issues and to adjust your current regimen safely. Remember, personalized consultation remains crucial to ensure safety and efficacy when combining supplements like Muktavati with others like Triphala.
