Seeking Ayurvedic Treatment for Enlarged Spleen and Uncertain Diagnosis - #37910

Client_2eea0f

I have a problem of enlarged Spleen, the current size of it is 22cm. I have diagnosed with AutoimmuneHemolytic Anemia and Rheumatoid Arthritis. But now after 3years of treatment it turn out the that's not the correct diagnosis for me. My allopathic doctor suggest me to do a bown marrow and pet ct scan test again, they think it can be a lower grade lymphoma. But i am very scared of this tests and in my this age i don't think i will survive those. I want to know is there any helpful treatment for me in ayurveda...

When considering enlarged spleen alongside autoimmune conditions and the possibility of a lower grade lymphoma, Ayurvedic treatment seeks to address root imbalances and support overall vitality. It’s important to emphasize that serious conditions like lymphoma should be urgently evaluated by a conventional medical professional. While Ayurveda can complement care, it should not replace critical medical diagnostics or treatments.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, an enlarged spleen, splenomegaly, typically relates to imbalances in the Pitta and Vata doshas. Imbalances in these doshas can contribute to inflammation and blood disorders, affecting spleen function. Supporting spleen health involves balancing these doshas. Begin with dietary adjustments - emphasize a diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods. Favor foods that pacify Pitta like sweet, cooling foods - fresh fruits and leafy greens while reducing hot, spicy, and sour foods. Also, avoid heavy, processed, or fried foods to maintain a healthy digestive fire, or Agni.

Herbs like Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) and Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) are traditionally used for their rejuvenative properties, supporting immunity and reducing inflammation. However, never self-prescribe, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can recommend proper dosages and formulations.

Daily routine should include gentle yoga, pranayama, especially practices like Anulom Vilom for Vata balance and calming the mind. Manage stress through meditation, as emotional health critically influences physical states.

While Ayurveda can offer supportive measures, the possibility of a serious condition like lymphoma necessitates conventional diagnostic tests, despite understandable fear. Tests are crucial for an accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment. If you decide to pursue Ayurvedic support, do so under a qualified practitioner’s guidance and alongside conventional medical care, ensuring all aspects of health are addressed thoroughly.
