WHAT IS PROSTATE ENLARGEMENT The prostate is a small gland that sits below the bladder and surrounds the urethra . As men age, this gland can grow in size, pressing on the urethra and slowing urine flow

COMMON SYMPTOMS -difficulty starting urination -weak urinestream -feeling of incomplete emptying -frequent urination at night -occassional dribbling after urination

In Ayurveda, this condition resembles “Mutraghata” or “Vataja mutrakrichra”, both caused mainly by vitiation of vata dosha, especially apana vayu, which governs the lower abdomen and urination

When Apana vayu becomes disturbed due to aging, stress, constipation, sitting long hours, or poor diet, it causes -obstruction of urine flow -swelling or stiffess in urinary organs like prostate -dryness and weakness in pelvic tissues

So, treatment focuses on balancing apana vayu, reducing swelling, improving urine flow, and rejuvenating the urinary tract.
