For managing menopause symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and hot flashes, Ayurveda focuses on balancing doshas and maintaining a healthy agni, or digestive fire. The herbs you are using: shatavari, mucuna pruriens, and maca root, all can be supportive, but it’s essential to use them optimally. Let’s discuss few focused recommendations:

1. Shatavari can be highly effective for hormonal balance and reducing hot flashes. Take 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon a day with warm milk or water. It’s soothing for Vata and Pitta doshas, which are often imbalanced during menopause.

2. Skip the maca root powder for a while. Your body might be overwhelmed with too many supplements. Focus on a maximum of two herbs at a time to observe their effects and adjust as needed.

3. Mucuna Pruriens can help with mood and fatigue. A dose of about 1 teaspoon in the morning, ideally with honey or in warm water, can be beneficial.

4. Pay attention to diet. Avoid heavy, fried, or cold foods that tamper digestive fire. Instead, prefer warm, cooked meals with spices like cumin, coriander, and fennel, which aid digestion and reduce bloating.

5. Routine and lifestyle: Establish a consistent daily routine and engage in calming activities like yoga or meditation. Stressful lifestyle really makes menopausal symptoms worse.

6. Abhyanga, or self-massage with warm sesame oil, can relax the nerves, improve circulation, and support hormone balance. Try it before your shower on a weekly basis.

Regarding supplements and herbs, consider rotating them instead of taking all simultaneously. Monitor your body’s response rather than overwhelming it. If bloating persists, consider adding Triphala in the evening to regulate digestion. Lastly, patience is key. Introducing changes gradually will help your body adapt naturally. Always consult with a healthcare provider for a personalized approach considering any other medical conditions or medications.

When addressing menopause symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and hot flashes, it’s useful to consider your dosha imbalances. Menopause often brings a rise in Vata dosha, affecting the body’s equilibrium. Let’s first streamline your approach.

Shatavari is a wise inclusion, as it’s beneficial for balancing hormones and cooling the system, which can help with hot flashes. Consider taking it as a churnam (powder), about 1/2 teaspoon in warm milk, once or twice daily.

Mucuna pruriens, known for supporting mood and energy levels, can help with fatigue. Taking 250-500 mg of the powder with a little honey before breakfast. Watch for any digestive upset, as a sign to adjust or consult for specifics.

Bloating might be converned with your digestive fire, or agni. Ayurvedic herbs like Trikatu (a blend of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger) can stimulate agni. Taking 1/4 teaspoon of Trikatu with warm water before meals.

Maca root and mira puima are less traditional in Ayurveda but can target energy or libido. Given your current regimen, consider pausing mira puima as it’s less harmonizing for Vata than other options here.

To enhance vitality and youthfulness, Rasayana practices like Ashwagandha can be supportive. However, since it may increase heat, it’s best evaluated based on overall dosha constitution.

Hot flashes and staying “passioned” are complex; lifestyle factors like regular yoga, prayanam and a balanced diet, rich in warm, cooked vegetables can aid.

Review your regimen to ensure you’re not overwhelming your digestion with too many supplements. If symptoms persist, or if there’s any concern, seeking personalized guidance might provide tailored balance.
