Hello Dipti, full recovery from stomach and spinal TB, including weight gain, typically takes 6 to 18 months, depending on the severity of the condition and adherence to treatment. Weight gain can begin within 2-3 months of starting treatment, with significant improvement by 6-12 months, provided the patient follows a balanced diet, maintains good nutrition, and completes the full course of treatment. Ayurvedic intervention can hasten the process but detailed consultation of the patient is necessary along with all the reports.

Audumbaravleha

For the past few months, I’ve been battling with acid reflux and constant bloating. Someone suggested audumbaravleha to me, saying it’s great for digestive issues. But I don’t know much about it. Can anyone here explain how audumbaravleha works and if it’s really effective for problems like mine? I’ve tried antacids, dietary changes, and even yoga for my digestion issues, but nothing has helped long-term. audumbaravleha was recommended by my uncle, who said it’s an Ayurvedic remedy that soothes the stomach and improves gut health. From what little I found online, it’s supposed to be good for conditions like hyperacidity and gastritis. If you’ve used audumbaravleha, can you share your experience? How quickly does it work, and how should it be taken? I read that some people mix it with water, while others take it straight. Which is better? Also, are there any side effects of using audumbaravleha? I have a sensitive stomach and sometimes react badly to herbal remedies, so I’m cautious about trying new stuff. If it’s safe, can it be taken every day, or should it only be used during flare-ups? Lastly, is audumbaravleha effective on its own, or does it need to be paired with other treatments or lifestyle changes? If you’ve had similar issues and used audumbaravleha, I’d love to know how it worked for you and what else you did to get relief.

Audumbaravleha is an Ayurvedic medicine known for its benefits in treating digestive issues such as acid reflux, hyperacidity, gastritis, and bloating. It’s made from ingredients like figs (Audumbar), honey, and various herbs that work to soothe the stomach lining and improve digestion. Audumbaravleha helps reduce the burning sensation associated with acid reflux and aids in balancing Pitta dosha, which is often the cause of excess acidity. It’s typically used for digestive issues caused by excess heat or acidity in the stomach. To take it, you can mix 1-2 teaspoons with warm water or honey, usually after meals. Some people find it effective in controlling acid reflux when taken regularly. For someone with a sensitive stomach, starting with a smaller dose can help gauge how your body responds. While it’s generally safe, you should avoid spicy or oily foods, which can aggravate acidity and hinder the medicine’s effectiveness. Lifestyle changes, such as eating smaller meals and avoiding late-night eating, can also enhance the benefits. It’s often taken daily for chronic issues, but you should consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for guidance on the right dosage and duration. Audumbaravleha is most effective when combined with other digestive aids, like herbal teas or dietary adjustments.

What’s the average cost of Virechana treatment in India? Is it worth it for detox?

1 answers

I’ve been dealing with digestive issues like bloating and sluggish metabolism for a while now, and I’m considering doing a full Panchakarma detox. Virechana seems to be one of the key treatments for cleansing the body, but I’m not sure about the cost and what’s included. Some centers list it as part of a larger package, while others offer it as a standalone treatment. Does anyone know the typical cost of Virechana treatment in a good Ayurvedic center? Is it a one-day process, or does it require staying at the center for a few days?

The cost of Virechana treatment can vary significantly depending on the Ayurvedic center, the region, and the type of package offered. Typically, Virechana is part of a Panchakarma detox program, which includes a series of preparatory treatments followed by the main procedure and post-treatment care. The treatment itself often takes a few days to complete, as it involves preparation, the actual purging process, and time for recovery. A good Ayurvedic center will usually recommend staying for at least 5-7 days, as the process is carefully managed to ensure safety and effectiveness. The cost for a comprehensive package, including accommodation, meals, and therapies, can range from a few thousand to several lakhs, depending on the center’s facilities and expertise. If offered as a standalone treatment, the price might be lower, but it’s important to ensure that the center provides personalized care and appropriate post-treatment guidance. Always consult with the center about what’s included in the cost to understand the full scope of the treatment and recovery process.

Vaishvanara Churna

2 answers

I’ve been dealing with chronic indigestion, bloating, and occasional constipation, and someone recommended Vaishvanara Churna for digestive health. I want to understand more about Vaishvanara Churna and how it helps with these issues. Has anyone tried this Ayurvedic remedy? My digestion tends to worsen during stressful periods, and my stomach feels heavy even after eating light meals. I’ve heard that Vaishvanara Churna is good for improving appetite and balancing Vata dosha. How should Vaishvanara Churna be taken—with warm water, milk, or ghee? Are there any specific dietary guidelines to follow while using it? Another concern I have is whether Vaishvanara Churna causes any side effects like dehydration or cramping. If you’ve used it, did it take long to see results? I’m also curious if it can be used alongside other digestive aids or if it works best on its own. If anyone has experience with Vaishvanara Churna, please share how it worked for you and whether it provided long-term relief. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Vaishvanara Churna is an effective Ayurvedic remedy primarily used to address digestive issues such as indigestion, bloating, constipation, and loss of appetite. It works by balancing the Agni (digestive fire) and Vata dosha, which is often implicated in digestive disturbances like bloating and constipation. The formulation contains a combination of herbs that stimulate the digestive process, improve appetite, and help with the smooth functioning of the digestive tract. Typically, Vaishvanara Churna is taken with warm water, but it can also be taken with ghee or milk depending on your constitution and digestive capacity. For better results, it’s important to follow a light, easily digestible diet and avoid overeating or consuming heavy, fatty foods, especially during stressful periods when digestion tends to slow down. It's also beneficial to take Vaishvanara Churna after meals to enhance digestion. In terms of side effects, Vaishvanara Churna is generally safe but may cause mild cramping or dehydration if used in excess or without proper hydration. It's important to drink plenty of water and avoid excessive use. While it can be used alongside other digestive aids, it’s best to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance to avoid any interactions. It usually takes a few weeks to see significant improvements, and with consistent use, it can provide long-term relief from chronic digestive issues.

What Is a Gastroenterologist and How Does Ayurveda Approach Digestive Health Differently?

1 answers

I have been dealing with chronic digestive issues like bloating, acidity, and irregular bowel movements, and my doctor recommended that I see a gastroenterologist. While I understand that a gastroenterologist specializes in diagnosing and treating digestive disorders, I am also interested in knowing how Ayurveda approaches gut health differently. From what I understand, a gastroenterologist focuses on conditions like acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and gastritis by using medications, endoscopies, and dietary recommendations. But what I do not fully understand is whether these treatments address the root cause or just manage the symptoms. Can long-term reliance on antacids and digestive medications weaken natural digestion over time? I have read that Ayurveda considers digestion (Agni) as the foundation of overall health and that most diseases begin in the gut. Are there specific Ayurvedic herbs, like Triphala, Licorice, or Fennel, that help in restoring gut health without the need for prescription medication? Also, does Ayurveda suggest different treatments based on individual body types (doshas) rather than a one-size-fits-all approach? Another thing I am wondering about is whether diet plays a bigger role in digestion than just avoiding trigger foods. Does Ayurveda recommend specific food combinations, meal timings, or cooking methods to naturally heal the gut? If anyone has successfully improved their digestive health using Ayurveda rather than seeing a gastroenterologist, I would love to hear what worked for them. I want to find a long-term, holistic solution rather than just suppressing my digestive symptoms with medication.

A gastroenterologist focuses on diagnosing and treating digestive disorders using medications, endoscopies, and dietary recommendations, but these treatments often manage symptoms rather than address the root cause. Long-term use of antacids and digestive medications can sometimes weaken natural digestion by reducing stomach acid, leading to poor nutrient absorption and dependency on medication. Ayurveda, on the other hand, views digestion as the core of overall health and aims to restore balance by strengthening Agni (digestive fire) and eliminating toxins (Ama). Ayurveda offers personalized treatments based on individual doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Triphala, Licorice (Yashtimadhu), and Fennel (Saunf) are commonly used to improve digestion. Triphala helps regulate bowel movements, Licorice soothes acidity and gastritis, and Fennel reduces bloating and gas. Ajwain, Ginger, and Hing (asafoetida) are also excellent for stimulating digestion and preventing bloating. Along with herbs, Ayurveda emphasizes detoxification through Panchakarma therapies like Virechana (purgation therapy) and recommends lifestyle changes to restore gut health naturally. Diet plays a huge role in digestion beyond just avoiding trigger foods. Ayurveda recommends eating according to one’s dosha, following proper food combinations, meal timings, and mindful eating habits. Eating warm, freshly cooked meals, avoiding cold or processed foods, and not drinking too much water with meals are some Ayurvedic principles for better digestion. Cooking with ghee, cumin, and coriander supports gut health, and fermented foods like buttermilk (Takra) and kanji (fermented carrot juice) help restore gut flora. Have you noticed if certain foods or stress worsen your symptoms? Understanding your body's unique needs can help create a long-term, holistic digestive healing plan rather than just relying on medications.

Chapati Digestion Time

1 answers

I eat chapati almost every day, but I’ve noticed that sometimes it feels heavy on my stomach, especially if I eat it late at night. This made me wonder about chapati digestion time and whether it varies depending on how it’s made or what it’s paired with. Does the type of flour, like whole wheat or multigrain, affect how long it takes to digest? And does adding oil, ghee, or spices make any difference? I also want to know if the number of chapatis you eat impacts digestion. For instance, if I eat two chapatis with sabzi, I feel fine, but if I have three or four, I feel bloated. Is this because I’m overeating, or does it take the body longer to process chapatis compared to other foods like rice? Does drinking water immediately after eating chapati affect digestion in any way? Another thing I’ve been curious about is whether the time of day matters for chapati digestion time. If I eat chapati in the morning, I feel light and energetic, but if I have it for dinner, I feel sluggish. Is there a reason for this, or is it just personal preference? I’ve also heard that adding digestive spices like ajwain or cumin to the dough can make chapati easier to digest. Has anyone tried this, and does it really help? Are there other tips to improve chapati digestion time, like chewing more slowly or eating it with certain types of side dishes, like curd or dal? If anyone has faced similar issues or knows how to make chapati digestion smoother, please share your advice. I’d love to know if there are any Ayurvedic insights on the best way to eat chapati to avoid bloating or heaviness.

Chapati digestion can vary depending on a few factors, including the type of flour used, how it's paired with other foods, and your eating habits. Here’s a quick breakdown: 1. Type of Flour: Whole wheat chapati: Slower to digest due to its fiber content, but it's also more nourishing and helps maintain steady blood sugar levels. Multigrain chapati: Includes a variety of grains, making it easier on the stomach for some people. However, it can also be heavier for others, especially if there are grains like barley or millet that require more digestion time. 2. Additions (Oil, Ghee, Spices): Oil or ghee: Adding ghee or oil makes chapatis richer, which can slow digestion slightly but also provide more lubrication for better gut function. Spices (e.g., ajwain, cumin): Adding digestive spices like ajwain, cumin, or fennel to the dough can help stimulate digestion and reduce bloating. These spices aid the digestive fire (agni), which makes food easier to break down. 3. Amount of Chapati: Eating three or four chapatis may cause bloating, especially if you’re overeating. The stomach can only handle so much, and when you exceed your body's capacity, it may lead to heaviness and sluggishness. Stick to a moderate portion and listen to your body’s hunger cues. 4. Water Intake: Drinking water immediately after eating chapati can sometimes dilute stomach acids, making it harder for the body to break down food properly. It's better to wait 20-30 minutes before drinking water, especially if you're prone to indigestion. 5. Time of Day: Eating chapati in the morning feels light and energizing because digestion is naturally stronger earlier in the day. Eating it at night, when digestion is slower, might make you feel sluggish. This is a normal circadian rhythm effect, as digestion slows down in the evening. 6. Pairing with Other Foods: Pairing chapati with curd can improve digestion, as yogurt contains probiotics that help the gut. Dal is another great option, as the protein in dal aids digestion and balances the carbs in chapati. Eating it with a high-fiber side like sabzi helps, but combining it with heavy or greasy dishes may cause bloating. 7. General Tips: Chew slowly and thoroughly: Proper chewing breaks down food better and supports digestion. Avoid overeating: Eating in moderation is key. Add digestive spices: Ajwain, cumin, or hing (asafoetida) can make chapati easier on the stomach. Ayurvedic Insight: Ayurveda suggests that vata dosha types may struggle with dry, rough foods like chapati, while pitta dosha types may handle it better. If you have vata tendencies (dry skin, gas, bloating), you can balance this by adding warm ghee, or spices like cumin or ginger, which help stimulate digestion and reduce bloating. In summary, chapati is nutritious, but how well it's digested depends on portion size, pairing with other foods, and your digestive strength. Implementing the tips above should help improve digestion and prevent heaviness.

What are the benefits of digestive syrup Patanjali?

1 answers

I’ve been having a lot of digestive issues lately, like bloating, gas, and occasional indigestion. A friend suggested trying digestive syrup Patanjali because it’s Ayurvedic and supposedly great for improving digestion. I want to know if it’s really effective and worth trying. One of the main reasons I’m considering it is because I prefer natural remedies over chemical-based medicines. Does digestive syrup Patanjali actually work for problems like acidity and constipation? Are the ingredients safe to use regularly, or are there any side effects I should be aware of? Another thing I’m curious about is how to use digestive syrup Patanjali for the best results. Should I take it before or after meals, and how often? Does it work quickly, or is it something you need to take consistently over time to see improvements? If anyone has used digestive syrup Patanjali, I’d love to know how it worked for you. Did it solve your digestive problems, or did you need to combine it with other remedies? Any tips on using it effectively would be really helpful.

Patanjali Digestive Syrup is an Ayurvedic formulation that combines herbs known to support digestion, such as ginger, mint, and cumin. It can be effective for relieving bloating, gas, acidity, and constipation, as these ingredients help balance digestive fire (Agni) and improve the digestive process. The syrup is generally safe for regular use, but it's important to follow the recommended dosage to avoid any potential side effects, such as mild stomach upset. For best results, it's typically taken after meals, about 1-2 teaspoons, and can be used consistently for a few weeks to see noticeable improvements. However, results may vary, and it can work more effectively when paired with a balanced diet and good digestive habits. If your issues persist, it might be helpful to consult with a healthcare provider to ensure there are no underlying conditions.

Online Ayurvedic Products

1 answers

I’ve been thinking about trying Ayurveda to help with my ongoing health issues, like low energy and bad digestion, but I have no idea where to start. I’ve seen so many online Ayurvedic products, but it’s hard to tell which ones are actually good. I feel like every other website claims their products are “authentic” or “traditional,” but how do I know if they’re the real deal? For example, I was looking at some herbal powders and oils that claim to balance doshas. But are these online Ayurvedic products safe to use without consulting a doctor? I don’t want to buy something random and end up making things worse. Are there specific certifications or signs I should look for to make sure the products are genuine? Some reviews say things like “works great” but don’t explain how, which makes me doubt their authenticity. Another thing I noticed is that prices for online Ayurvedic products vary a lot. Some are super cheap, and others are ridiculously expensive. Does paying more mean you’re getting a better product, or are the cheaper ones just as good? I also saw some combination packs for detox, but they didn’t mention what’s actually in them. Are those worth trying, or is it better to stick with single-ingredient products? I also don’t know how to figure out which products match my needs. Like, I’ve read about triphala and ashwagandha, but how do I know if they’re right for my issues? Are there online Ayurvedic products that are made for specific doshas, or do most of them work for everyone? Should I take a quiz or something to find out my dosha first before ordering anything? And what about the companies selling these? Some websites look professional, but others seem really sketchy. How do I tell if a seller is trustworthy? I don’t want to end up with fake or low-quality stuff. Has anyone here had good or bad experiences with online Ayurvedic products? I’d love to know which brands or websites you trust and why. If I’m just starting with Ayurveda, is there one product you’d recommend as a must-try? Something simple that could help with general digestion or stress would be ideal. I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions for navigating this whole world of online Ayurvedic products.

When starting with Ayurveda to address issues like low energy and poor digestion, it’s important to approach it with caution and clarity. First, understand that Ayurveda is personalized, meaning what works for one person may not work for another. It’s always best to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or doctor who can assess your dosha (body constitution) and recommend the most appropriate remedies tailored to your needs. If you're considering online Ayurvedic products, be aware that the market can be overwhelming, and not all products are created equal. Look for reputable brands that have certifications such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO certification, or organic seals. Authentic Ayurvedic products often come with transparent ingredient lists, clear sourcing, and traceability. Be cautious of products with vague claims or exaggerated benefits without scientific or clinical backing. Price can vary widely depending on the brand’s sourcing and quality control, but higher prices don’t always guarantee better quality. Conversely, very cheap products may be diluted or of low quality. It’s often a good idea to start with single-ingredient products rather than complex detox kits, as these can help you understand how your body reacts to specific herbs. For general digestion and stress relief, simple herbs like Triphala (for digestion) and Ashwagandha (for stress) are commonly recommended, but their effectiveness depends on your dosha and individual constitution. Taking a dosha quiz can provide useful guidance but should not replace a professional assessment. Regarding brands, trustworthy companies often have transparent practices, positive customer feedback, and a long-standing reputation in the field. Researching online reviews (focusing on detailed feedback rather than just generic “works great” comments) can help. Finally, if you’re just starting with Ayurveda, a good entry point might be Triphala for digestion or Ashwagandha for stress—both are relatively safe and effective for many people. But always remember, Ayurvedic treatment is holistic, and it’s essential to incorporate lifestyle, diet, and mental well-being alongside herbal remedies for the best results.

What Is Triphala Churna, and How Does It Benefit Digestion?

2 answers

I’ve heard a lot about Triphala Churna as an Ayurvedic remedy for digestive health, and I’d like to understand more about its specific benefits and how it works. Triphala is made from three fruits—Amla (Indian gooseberry), Haritaki, and Bibhitaki—but I’m curious to know how each of these contributes to digestion and overall well-being. One of the key benefits of Triphala Churna is its ability to improve digestion. How does it help relieve constipation, bloating, and indigestion, and does it have a long-term impact on maintaining healthy digestion? Is it gentle enough for daily use, or is it more effective when used intermittently for detoxification? I’ve also read that Triphala Churna has detoxifying properties and helps cleanse the colon. Does it support liver and kidney function by flushing out toxins, and can it improve skin health by reducing internal inflammation? Another benefit mentioned is Triphala’s ability to balance the doshas, particularly in terms of improving metabolism. Does it help regulate weight, improve appetite, and reduce cravings for unhealthy foods? Lastly, are there any side effects or precautions to consider when using Triphala Churna? For example, can it cause digestive discomfort or interact with other medications? How can I ensure I’m using it safely for maximum benefit? If anyone has used Triphala Churna regularly, I’d love to know how it benefited your digestion and overall health. What improvements did you notice, and how did you incorporate it into your routine?

Triphala Churna is a powerful Ayurvedic remedy made from the combination of Amla, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki, each contributing unique benefits to digestive health. Amla (Indian gooseberry) is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, supporting digestion, boosting immunity, and reducing inflammation. Haritaki helps detoxify and regulate bowel movements, making it effective for relieving constipation, bloating, and indigestion. Bibhitaki is known for its cleansing properties, particularly for the liver and kidneys, promoting overall detoxification and improving metabolic function. Triphala Churna aids digestion by stimulating peristalsis, reducing acidity, and enhancing nutrient absorption, making it effective for long-term digestive health. It is gentle enough for daily use, though some may prefer using it intermittently for detoxification or during periods of digestive imbalance. Its detoxifying properties also support skin health by reducing internal inflammation. Triphala’s ability to balance the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) helps improve metabolism, regulate weight, reduce cravings, and support healthy appetite. However, while it is generally safe, excessive use may cause mild digestive discomfort, like loose stools, especially for those with sensitive digestive systems. It's essential to start with small doses and consult a healthcare provider if you’re taking other medications, as Triphala can interact with certain drugs or conditions. For optimal results, incorporate it gradually into your routine, ideally with warm water or as part of a balanced Ayurvedic regimen.
