Hi Zaviyar,

May I know if your baby scratches the area? Did this happen very recently? What is the kind of food your baby has now? Are there any other health concerns?

Hello Zaviyar, The baby’s skin is very sensitive, especially after a burn injury. Keloids and itching can get worse in hot weather. Keep the affected area cool and moisturized. Apply VRANAROPAN oil or aloe vera gel gently to soothe the skin. You can also use rose water to calm redness and irritation.

For itching, mix neem and turmeric powder with water and apply for a few minutes, then wash with lukewarm water. Sandalwood paste can also help in cooling the skin. Avoid scratching as it can make keloids worse.

Does the baby sweat a lot? Is there any discharge from the keloid? Try to keep the baby in a cool environment and wear loose cotton clothes. If keloids keep increasing, consult an Ayurvedic doctor for proper internal medicine to reduce scar formation.

Oh, poor baby, keloids can be quite bothersome especially for such a little one. Dealing with itching, redness, and pain can get tough, especially in hot weather. So, right to the point—some things in Ayurveda might just help ease the discomfort and help with the keloids.

First off, rashthriya (topical applications) like turmeric (haldi) paste, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, can be soothing. You can mix a pinch of turmeric powder with a bit of water or coconut oil, and apply gently to the affected area. But just a small spot first, to check for any reactions, yeah?

Sandalwood powder mixed with rose water can be applied too; it’s cooling and may help reduce that redness. For easing itching, an oil massage with neem oil or coconut oil might be beneficial, but make sure not to use too much pressure while massaging — gentle strokes only.

As for keloids, they tend to be stubborn. You might want to try applying aloe vera gel; it’s moisturizing and may encourage healing. Alongside, incorporating herbs like Ashwagandha and Guduchi in his routine might improve overall skin health, but for this, consulting someone who can provide precise doses is a good call.

Warmth doesn’t help, so try keeping him cool, especially in afternoons. Dress him in loose, breathable clothing. At night, a slightly cooler room may help with itching. You could try oatmeal baths either, they’ve got skin-soothing vibes; just a little scoop in warm bathwater.

Considering he’s so small, consulting with a pediatric dermatologist might ensure he gets comprehensive care. Also remember, despite all these tips, healing takes time, especially with a little one. If itching, pain, or redness increases, immediate medical advice should be your go-to. Keeping an eye on any sign of infection is crucial.

So, a blend of patience, gentleness, and these soothing remedies could potentially offer some relief, right? Take care.
