It’s more likely that the cervical spasm is the direct cause of your current pain and eye pressure. However, your high cholesterol may be a contributing factor in the background, especially if there are existing circulatory issues.Poor posture, stress, or disc issues may contribute.
So kindly consult with a neurologist as soon as possible.
When it comes to survival spasms and headaches, the body often gives us signals we can’t ignore. In your case, that survival spasm may occur due to a combination of factors, such as muscle tension or stress, affecting your neck and triggering headaches and eye pressure. This is sometimes linked with the cervical part of your spine, which can influence the head and even the eyes.
High cholesterol by itself usually doesn’t cause headache. Although, it’s a risk factor for cardiovascular conditions which, over time, could impact how you feel. A cholesterol level of 280 is considered high and managing it should indeed be a priority. High cholesterol can put a strain on your heart and blood vessels, but it’s not typically the direct cause of your neck spasms or the headache symptoms you’re experiencing.
Focusing Ayurvedically, the imbalance of Vata dosha might be contributing to muscle spasms and tension headaches. Vata can result in tension and dryness that affect the joints and muscles.
Here are some recommendations:
1. Diet: Include warm, nourishing foods like soups, stews made from whole grains, and ghee. Avoid cold, raw, and dry foods that can aggravate Vata. Also, garlic, turmeric and black pepper can help manage cholesterol.
2. Daily Routine: Gentle neck and shoulder exercises, along with yoga postures such as Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Marjariasana (Cat-Cow Pose) can be very helpful. Meditation and breathing exercises might ease tension and bring balance to your mind.
3. Herbal Remedies: Ashwagandha could help to pacify Vata and strengthen your body’s response to stress. For heart and cholesterol, Arjuna powder with warm water can be beneficial.
4. Stress Management: Prioritize relaxation through Ayurveda massage like Abhyanga with warm sesame oil. Try to maintain a regular sleep pattern to support healing.
Certainly, it’s important that you don’t delay seeking medical advice, especially if symptoms become unbearable or persist. Integrating Ayurvedic methods with conventional medicine could help you find a holistic balance to tackle both your arthritis spasms and manage cholesterol effectively.
