Dr. Harshita Hyati
I have gained comprehensive clinical experience through my internship and professional duties, which has laid a strong foundation for my medical practice. During my internship, I worked extensively across multiple departments, including casualty, general medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics & gynecology at the Government District Hospital, Gadag. This exposure allowed me to handle a variety of acute and chronic cases, sharpen my clinical assessment skills, and actively participate in patient management under the guidance of senior medical professionals. Following this, I served as a duty doctor at AYUSH Hospital, Gadag Betgeri, where I applied my Ayurvedic knowledge in a clinical setting and contributed to patient care in both outpatient and inpatient departments. I successfully completed 366 days of rigorous internship training at DGM Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Gadag, where I was involved in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning under supervision. My time there allowed me to integrate classical Ayurvedic principles with practical patient care while developing a keen understanding of hospital operations and multidisciplinary collaboration. These experiences have enhanced my ability to handle diverse medical conditions confidently while maintaining a patient-centered approach. I am dedicated to continuing my journey as an Ayurvedic practitioner with the same passion and commitment, focusing on delivering quality, evidence-based, and holistic healthcare.

Your symptoms suggest imbalances in your digestive system, potentially related to Vata and Pitta dosha disturbances, especially considering your lifestyle factors like working night shifts. This can disrupt your body's natural rhythms and agni, or digestive fire. Concentrating on harmonizing these aspects might alleviate your discomfort. First, dietary modifications are essential. Favor light, warm, and easily digestible foods, like steamed vegetables, rice, and moong dal (mung beans). Avoid spicy, fried, or excessively oily foods which might aggravate Pitta. Additionally, limit caffeine and alcohol intake as these can exacerbate digestive irregularities. Your night shift could be a contributing factor to your weakened agni and digestive imbalance. Try to establish a routine that allows for some consistency in meal and sleep patterns. Even during night shifts, maintain a regular eating schedule and ensure you get enough rest in a dark, quiet environment to support your body's natural cycles—this can be challenging but is beneficial. You might also explore incorporating herbs like Triphala which aids digestion and regular bowel movements, even taken before bedtime. Proper hydration is critical too; drink warm water throughout the day to support digestion and minimize gas. Include Ginger or Ajwain tea in your routine. This can combat bloating and indigestion. As you've noted blood and mucus in stools with dark stools, consult a healthcare professional promptly to rule out serious conditions. This might require immediate attention beyond what lifestyle adjustments can provide. Stress management is another crucial element; practices such as yoga or pranayama help balance doshas and improve digestion. Even a short meditation session before bed could be hugely beneficial. Lastly, these changes need consistency and dedication, Don't hesitate to seek personalized advice from a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for tailored treatments, especially considering your work schedule. Establishing a balanced lifestyle that'll sync with your body's needs can transform your health over time.
