Hi. Thanks for this opportunity I used a glitter lip gloss and it burnt my lips within minutes of application. It's been almost 8 years since and it's still dark. I've applied coconut oil and butter. Tried apple cider vinegar on my lips. No results I always apply vasaline as a barrier to use make up

Hi ,never use vaseline it may make your lips even darker,you can use shatadhouta ghrita on lips ,lipbalm made out of manjishta is available,don't bite your lips ,avoid over usage of coffee and tea also dark lipshades,stay hydrated

Firstly avoid any chemical lip balm for lips
1) Tomato juice with sugar scrub for lips daily alternate days for week then twice a week
2) besan powder with milk cream mix and apply leave to dry wash it with warm water
3) try to apply manjisthadi lip balm or beetroot lip balm

If those lip gloss burned your lips and left 'em dark, that's really frustrating. I've seen this happen to folks; those irritation sometimes linger or the pigmentation takes a while to go away. Ayurveda has some things that might help, you just gotta be patient.
Thinkin' about your dark lips, it’s possible the incident upset the Pitta dosha, leading to this discoloration. So cooling properties help to balance that out. Ghee, for instance, is awesome. Try maing a mix of a tsp of ghee with a little turmeric powder, and apply it gently before bed. Turmeric's good with dealing out those pigmentation problems and it's anti-inflammatory. Make sure not to go overboard tho, otherwise might irritate.
Rose petals too... They're soothing and calming, make a paste with milk and apply it on lips, it might improve their color over time. Be patient, these things need some time. Drinking pomegranate juice regularly could help skin, the cooling nature helps, but no guarantees.
Avoid spicy, salty, and sour stuff as much as you can. Instead, go for sweet, bitter and astringent tastes. Things like cucumbers, and leafy greens are awesome cooling foods. Keep your body hydrated always, it supports skin health. Oh! And try not to lick your lips a lot, it can make things worst.
