Doctors' responses

For schizophrenia disease there are some ayurvedic panchakarma procedures and medicine also but at present u are on antidepressants so we can’t stop it suddenly so along with those medicines u can start some ayurvedic medicine and gradually by symptomatic improvement u can reduce the dose of antidepressants and gradually stop it In Ayurveda medicine Take Brahmi vati 1-0-2 after food Saraswatarishta 5 ml with equal quantity of water And visit nearby panchakarma centre for some therapies

Discontinuing antidepressants and schizophrenia medications involve careful planning, ideally guided by your healthcare provider. Ayurveda can complement this process and help create balance, though it should not substitute medical guidance, especilly for serious conditions like schizophrenia.

First, understand your dosha—Vata, Pitta, or Kapha—as imbalances can affect mental health. Ayurveda places a strong emphasis on restoring psychological equilibrium by balancing doshas. While transitioning away from medications, adapt lifestyle and dietary habits to soothe your predominant dosha. Focus on grounding meals: warm, well-cooked foods, like kichadi (a mix of rice and lentils), which pacifies Vata and improves digestion.

Incorporate Ashwagandha—it’s renowned for reducing stress and anxiety. Start with 1-2 grams of Ashwagandha powder mixed with warm milk before bed. Mindfulness through Yoga and Pranayama (breathing exercises) can help regulate your body’s stress responses. Practice gentle yogic postures daily to promote calm; key inclusions are Shavasana and Pranayama like Nadi Shodhana.

Remember, herbal teas like Brahmi or Tulsi infusions may aid in stabilizing mood swings. Sip these 1-2 times daily for soothing impact. Establish a daily routine, or Dinacharya, to stabilize your internal clock, including sleep pattern: sleep at least 7-8 hours a night, and wake up with the sun, preferably.

About TT-2 medication (assuming Tuberous Sclerosis Complex), such conditions require close monitoring. I suggest speaking with your specialist before making any changes. Any ayurvedic approach should work alongside conventional treatments.

Transitioning off medicines require patience, and should certainly never be abrupt. Always involve your healthcare provider to assess risks involved.
