To brighten your skin, let’s start with what Ayurveda says about nourishing your skin from within. Drinking warm water with a pinch of turmeric and half a lemon squeezed into it can be a gentle detoxifier. Do this first thing in the morning. Turmeric’s curcumin and lemon’s vitamin C combo help support clear skin, but make sure it suits you well — some folks find it a bit heating.

For a homemade face mask, try mixing chickpea flour (besan), a spoon of cream (malai), and a pinch of turmeric. Apply this mix on your face, let it dry, then wash off with lukewarm water. It can help with skin lightening and add a natural glow which you’re seeking.

Now for your hair! The silky softness can be encouraged by using a coconut oil massage. Give your scalp and hair a good massage with warm (not hot) coconut oil at least once a week. Leave it for a few hours, then wash it out. Also, adding a rinse made from hibiscus flowers in your routine, just boil the petals in water and cool it before using as the final rinse.

For the acne issues, using neem powder as a face pack (mix with rose water) can be quite effective. Neem has purifying properties that are respected in Ayurveda for dealing with inflammation and acne. Apply it, allow it to sit for about 15 minutes, and rinse off.

As for a homemade soap and shampoo, you can make a soap using a mix of multani mitti, turmeric and a little honey. Concoct a paste and use it like a soap when you bathe.

For shampoo, use a shikakai and reetha blend. Boil these natural cleansers in water, strain, and use that liquid to wash your hair. It cleans the scalp deeply while maintaining the hair’s softness.

Try these suggestions, staying consistent and patient is key with natural remedies. Every skin or hair type is unique so keep an open eye to how your body responds and tweak if needed.

Thanks for your question! At 18, your skin and hair are still naturally adjusting due to hormonal activity — so using natural, non-chemical methods is the best choice. Can try— Raw milk + turmeric + honey pack: Apply to face for 15 mins daily, then rinse. Licorice powder (yashtimadhu) + rosewater: Apply this paste 3x a week to fade pigmentation. Sandalwood powder + milk or curd: For cooling and brightening.

Drink 2 glasses of warm water with lemon every morning. Eat more fruits (pomegranate, papaya), and avoid oily/fried food. Include Amla juice or fresh Amla daily. For internal medicines I have to know your Prakriti n your digestion n all so I would suggest you for one on one consultation
