Doctors’ responses

Hey there! It can be really frustrating when everything seems normal, yet something like a fibroid shows up out of nowhere. First things first, a 2 cm submucosal fibroid might play a role in affecting fertility coz it can sometimes interfere with implantation or the growth of the embryo. But don't worry too much; Ayurveda has approaches to help with such cases! In Ayurvedic terms, fibroids are often seen as growth due to an imbalance, mostly in Kapha dosha. So, dealing with this means focusing on reducing Kapha. I’d suggest starting with your diet. Try to include foods that are light, warm, and dry. Think barley, millet, and legumes—avoid heavy, oily, and cold foods like dairy and fried items. Spices like ginger, turmeric, and black pepper can help balance Kapha too. On the lifestyle side, regular exercise can help, too. Something like brisk walking or yoga (some specific asanas like Setu Bandhasana or Sarvangasana) could support you by stimulating blood flow and ensuring proper movement of Vata, which is essential for balancing other doshas. Just don't overdo it; moderation keeps your agni, or digestive fire, in balance, which is super important here. Herbal-wise, some classical preparations might be helpful, like Ashoka or Shatavari, known for their support in female health. But it’s always best to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner near you to get the right dosage and formulation. And emotionally, stress management is vital. Simple practices like meditation, deep-breathing, or just spending time on things you love can make a difference. Stress can sometimes be like an invisible wall for conception. However, do keep in the loop with your medical doctor about the fibroid, especially if it causes symptoms like heavy periods or pain. Sometimes they may even suggest surgical options if there's no improvement or if it grows. Stay positive! Ayurveda works towards balance, and with a little patience, you might find it easier to navigate through this journey.

I graduated in 2022 from Kerala University of Health Sciences, where I developed a strong foundation in classical Ayurvedic principles and clinical practice. In addition to my Ayurvedic education, I hold a diploma in Yoga Instructor Training from S-VYASA University, which has allowed me to incorporate yogic techniques into my therapeutic approach, especially in managing lifestyle disorders and stress-related conditions. Since December 2022, I’ve been practicing at a multispecialty NABH-accredited hospital in Kerala, where I’ve been exposed to a broad spectrum of clinical conditions and multidisciplinary coordination. This experience has enhanced my ability to diagnose and treat patients holistically, while adhering to modern healthcare standards and safety protocols. Currently, I am associated with the Medibuddy platform, where I support the TATA Health Insurance Medical Examination Report team. This role allows me to contribute to preventive health screening and ensure comprehensive documentation and evaluation of medical histories for insured individuals. It has deepened my understanding of corporate and digital health systems. Alongside my institutional responsibilities, I actively run my own Ayurvedic consultation clinics during evening hours, where I provide personalized care rooted in traditional diagnostics such as Nadi Pariksha, Prakriti analysis, and individualized treatment protocols. My clinical interests span across digestive disorders, stress and anxiety, musculoskeletal complaints, and preventive healthcare. Through a blend of classical Ayurvedic wisdom, yoga therapy, and modern health insight, I strive to offer my patients a path toward sustainable wellness and preventive health, while remaining accessible, empathetic, and thorough in every consultation.

First of all, you are blessed to have twin daughters, and it is wonderful that you are trying again with a positive spirit. A 2 cm submucosal fibroid, even though small, can sometimes interfere with implantation or the healthy growth of a pregnancy. In Ayurveda, we address the root causes like Vata imbalance, Rasa Dhatu (nutritional plasma) weakness, and uterine health to promote natural conception. Through personalized herbal treatments, panchakarma therapies (like Uttarbasti if needed), diet and lifestyle corrections, we can naturally support your body to conceive. However, every woman’s body constitution (Prakriti), menstrual pattern, digestion strength (Agni), and emotional health needs to be assessed carefully before giving treatment. Therefore, I would highly recommend opting for a personal consultation. This will help me design a customized Ayurvedic fertility program for you to enhance your chances of healthy natural conception. Wishing you strength, positivity, and good health ahead!
