Doctors’ responses

Thank you for sharing your concern. I understand how emotionally and socially difficult facial skin pigmentation can be. It’s important to know that topical ointments alone often don't bring lasting relief because skin pigmentation is usually a symptom of a deeper imbalance in the body. In Ayurveda, we treat the root cause rather than just the surface symptoms. Skin pigmentation can arise from: Hormonal imbalance (common in PCOD, thyroid issues, stress, etc.) Sun exposure and environmental factors Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (after pimples, allergies, or injuries) Improper digestion and toxin (ama) accumulation Kindly let me know if you have history of any of the above, so that I can prescribe appropriate treatment and permanent results. 1. If hormonal imbalance is the root cause, it should be addressed first through proper diagnosis and treatment — often including diet, herbs, and lifestyle guidance. 2. If pigmentation is due to external causes like sun exposure, scars, or allergies: Do a patch test before applying any product to rule out allergic reactions. Use Kumkumadi Lepa (cream) every night on affected areas. If its on the body like hands, legs etc, you can apply Nalpamradi thaila 30 minutes before bath. Wash gently with normal temperature water in the morning (avoid hot water on face). Pigmento tablet (Ayurvedic) 1-0-1 for 2 weeks After food. Internal Detox & Diet Tips: Follow a light, detox-friendly diet — warm, home-cooked food; avoid oily, fried, and packaged items. Drink pomegranate juice daily in the mid-morning — it’s excellent for skin and blood purification. Stay hydrated and avoid constipation. Practice stress management with deep breathing and mindfulness — stress can aggravate skin issues. Avoid applying random chemical-based creams without knowing the cause. you can consult me for the skin detox diet plan which can help you maintain the skin health and tone.
