which food increase sperm count - #23383

Aaliyah

I am really worried about my fertility because I've been trying to conceive with my partner for a while now and it’s not happening. Last month, I got some tests done and the doc mentioned my sperm count is lower than average, which totally freaked me out! I read online that diet can play a huge part in this, and I really wonder which food increase sperm count. I’ve been trying to eat healthier, but honestly, I’m not sure what specific foods I should focus on. I’ve heard things about nuts and fruits, but then there’s so many conflicting articles! Like, some say eggs are great, while others mention dairy might be bad?? What do u think? I’ve also cut down on junk and alcohol, but it’s hard to stick to it all the time. Should I be worried about this, or is there something simple I could start adding to my meals that can help? I'm feeling kinda lost here! Any tips?

When it comes to boosting sperm count, Ayurveda offers various dietary suggestions. Firstly, consider incorporating seeds and nuts, such as almonds and walnuts, into your diet. They not only provide essential fatty acids but are known in Ayurveda for their rejuvenating, or “Rasayana”, properties, which promote semen production. Having a small handful of these daily could be beneficial. Secondly, milk and ghee, according to Ayurveda, nourish “Shukra Dhatu” (reproductive tissue). Organic, full-fat versions are often recommended, though in moderation, especially if you're concerned about excess weight. You might try making a warm milk drink, mixing one teaspoon of ghee into it, before bed; it's a classic Ayurvedic recipe aimed at strengthening Shukra Dhatu. Dark leafy greens like spinach provide folate, which is important for sperm health. Consider adding a handful to your lunch or evening meal. Additionally, fruits like pomegranates are traditionally used for improving fertility. A cup of freshly juiced pomegranate or simply including the seeds in your meals could be both refreshing and beneficial. Now, about the eggs, they’re traditionally seen as a sattvic (pure) food in Ayurveda, containing proteins to promote bodily strength and vigor. Feel free to include one or two boiled eggs a few times a week if your digestion can handle them. As for cutting down junk food and alcohol, you're indeed on the right track. Both are known Ayurvedic aggravators for “Ama” (toxins in the body) that could negatively impact your overall health, including fertility. It's also crucial to pay attention to lifestyle factors. Regular exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management are crucial. Practicing yoga or meditation, and ensuring you have a good sleep routine can balance Vata and contribute to healthier sperm production. Avoid strictly counting every nutrient and instead focus on balanced, wholesome meals. Of course, if conditions persist or worsen, consulting a professional is advisable.
