I am struggling with my hair falling out like crazy lately. Like, I never thought this would happen to me! I’ve tried all sorts of shampoos and treatments, but nothing really seems to work. A friend mentioned that I should be looking into ayurvedic remedies, and I heard about how to make ayurvedic hair oil at home. I really want to give it a shot, but I have no idea where to start! I read that different oils can help with hair health, but there are so many options. I think I’m supposed to use things like coconut and maybe a few herbs? My hair has been so brittle and dry, especially at the ends. I honestly feel lost and a bit frustrated. Like, how to make ayurvedic hair oil at home without making it too complicated? Do you guys have any recipes or tips or something? Maybe even other ingredients to include? If I could just figure out how to make ayurvedic hair oil at home that works for me, it would be awesome. Just looking for something simple yet effective!

Let’s create a straightforward recipe using ingredients commonly available and beneficial for promoting healthy hair.

Start with a base oi, coconut oil is an excellent choice due to its cooling and nourishing properties. You’ll need about a cup of it. Choose a neutral, organic version if possible. Then, gather some herbs like Bhringraj, Amla, and Hibiscus if you can find them. These are known for strengthening roots, promoting hair growth, and adding shine.

Begin by lightly heating the coconut oil in a pan on a low flame; make sure it doesn’t become too hot not to lose its properties. Add a small handful of dried Bhringraj leaves, two tablespoons of Amla powder, and a few hibiscus flowers. If Hibiscus isn’t available, you could use fenugreek seeds instead. These will help enhance moisture and add sheen to your hair.

Let this mix simmer for about 15-20 minutes. You’ll notice the oil starting to take the color of herbs, which is a good sign that it’s absorbing the nutrients! After it has cooled completely, strain the oil to remove the solid bits using a fine cloth or strainer. Store your infused oil in a clean, dry glass bottle, preferable dark to protect from light.

When applying, gently massage the oil into your scalp and hair, focusing on the dry ends. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes to overnight for better absorption, then wash it with a mild, natural shampoo. Try to apply this treatment a couple times a week.

Consistency is key. Hair health can take time to repair but with regular use, you should notice a significant decrease in hair fall and more hydrated, stronger tresses. Remember, it’s essential to balance with proper nutrition and adequate water intake, as hair health’s also affected by internal factors!
