I am seriously confused about how to use indigo powder in hair. Recently, I decided to ditch the chemical dyes I was using cause my scalp was getting irritated. I heard about this indigo powder stuff and it seemed like a more natural option to color my hair and I thought, why not, right? But I keep running into these mixed how to use indigo powder in hair instructions online. Some say I should mix it with henna, others say just use it on its own. Ugh, I tried mixing it once, and the color turned out so weird — like a murky brown! I have really dark hair, which I guess makes me even more puzzled about how to use indigo powder in hair to get the right shade. Doing the prep stuff is kind of overwhelming too. Like, should I leave it on for a specific time, or does that depend on how dark I want my hair? I want it to feel natural, ya know?
