Hydrosalpinx means fluid filled fallopian tube. This fluid can leak into uterus and interfere with embryo implantation.
You are taking thyroid medication. Right? A well-controlled thyroid profile is essential for healthy pregnancy.
You didn’t mention about the period cycle. Trying for a baby in ovulation time will give a good result.
Hello Divya, Conception is hindered due to many reasons,PCOS,hydrosalpinx and thyroid disorders are some of these reasons. You should always take thyroid medications under doctor’s supervision. I would suggest to consult a MS gynae & obs. for making an accurate treatment plan. Take care Regards, Dr. Anupriya

Hydrosalpinx and PCOS indeed can be challenging barriers to conception, but let’s delve into a few Ayurvedic approaches and see how they might support your fertility journey. Treating PCOS and hydrosalpinx from an Ayurvedic perspective requires a detailed approach that takes into account the balance of your doshas, particularly Vata and Kapha which typically play a role in these conditions.
First, consider an appropriate diet modifications designed to balance Kapha and promote healthy Agni (digestive fire). Emphasize fresh, warm, light, and easily digestible foods. Stick with whole grains like quinoa and barley, and incorporate plenty of leafy greens. Limit your intake of refined sugars, processed foods and dairy as they can aggravate Kapha.
For Vata balance prioritize routines that ground and calm your body like self-abhyanga (oil massage) with sesame or almond oil. Adding gentle exercise like yoga or walking can improve circulation and support reproductive health. Practising relaxation techniques like pranayama (breathing techniques) can enhance stress management, indirectly supporting your thyroid function as well.
Herbal formulations like Shatavari and Ashwagandha may help regulate menstrual cycles and strengthen the reproductive system. However, it’s vital to have these supplements tailored to your individual constitution by consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure safety and efficacy, especially since you’re on thyroid medications.
As for hydrosalpinx, controlled detoxification methods like Panchakarma may help in clearing blockages, but these should be pursued only under guidance of a trained Ayurvedic therapist. Additionally, maintaining enough hydration and including spices like turmeric, ginger in your diet can help reduce internal inflammation.
Given the complexity of your concerns, perhaps seeking the expertise of an integrative medical team can provide a more cohesive care plan, optimizing both allopathic and Ayurvedic therapies. In cases where surgery may be indicated for hydrosalpinx, collaborating with your healthcare team remains essential to ensure a path forward that’s aligned with your desire to conceive. Always remember to keep healthcare providers informed of all treatments you are using.
HELLO DIVYA,
1) PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) -In Ayurveda, this is usually linked to Kapha dosha imbalance (causing cyst formation, weight gain, irregular cycles) and Vata imbalance (leading to irregular ovulation) -Imagine your ovaries like gardens : instead of one flower blooming each mouth (an egg releasing), multiple buds form but dont open fully
2) HYDROSALPINX (fluid in fallopain tube) -The Fallopian tube is like a pathway for the egg to meet sperm. When it gets filled with fluid and blocked the “road” is blocked -Ayurveda views this as srotoroda (blockage in reproductive channels)
3) THYROID IMBALANCE -Thyroid governs metabolism, Ayurveda relates it to Agni(digestive fire) being weak or irregular.
So your body is facing three hurdles together -egg release problem - pcos - egg transport problem- hydrosalphix - metabolism/ hormone regulator issue- thyroid
TREATMENT GOALS -Clear blockages in the reproductive channels -balance hormones and regularize periods -improve egg quality and uterine health -support thyroid and metabolism -strengthen overall reproductice tissue to prepare for conception
INTERNAL MEDICATIONS
1) KANCHANAR GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after food =helps reduce cysts, clears channel
2) ASHOKARISHTA= 20 ml with equal water after meals =regulates menstrual cycle, balances hormones
3) SHATAVARI POWDER= 1 tsp with warm milk at night =nourishes uterus and ovaries , improves fertility
4) VARUNADI KASHAYA= 20 ml twice daily before food with water =reduces fluid accumulation clears tubal blockages

EXTERNAL THERAPIES
1) OIL MASSAGE= with warm sesame oil daily followed by warm water bath
2) NASYA= instill 2 dropsof phalghrita in each nostril daily morning =for hormonal balance, stress
LIFESTYLE AND DAILY PRACTICES -wake up early before sunrise, avoid daytime sleeping -regular routine for meals and sleep- hormones love rhythm -avoid overuse of plastics, processed foods, late-night work
YOGA ASANAS -Setu bandhasana= improves pelvic circulation -Bhujangasana= stimulates ovaries -Malasana= strengthens pelvic flor -Supta baddha konasana= relaxes uterus
PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= balances hormones -Bhramari= calms mind, reduces stress -Kapalbhati= helps metabolism, but avoid during periods
DIET -warm, freshly cooked food -barley, millet, oats instead of refined wheat -vegetables- bitter gourd, bottle gourd, spinach, drumstick -herbal teas with tulsi, ginger, cinnamon
AVOID -cold drinks, ice creams -excess dairy, especially cheese, panner -white sugar, fried snacks, bakery foods - red meat
HOME REMEDIES -Cinnamon tea= 1/2 tsp boiled in water, daily helps insulin rsensitivity in PCOS -Fenugreek seeds= soaked overnight ,chew 5-6 in morning, good for metabolism -Aloe vera juice= 15ml in morning, balances hormones -Castor oil pack on Lower abdomen, external 20 min once/twice a week= may support circulation around reproductive organs
You’re just 25- your body has resilience on its side. Ayurveda can’t “magically” dissolve hydrosalphinx overnight, but it prepares your body- balances cycles, improves egg health, strengthens the uterus , and supports thyroid. That way, whether conception happens naturally or with assisted methods (like IVF), your chances improve.
DO FOLLOW
HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL
THANK YOU

Hydrosalpinx means you are right fellow and to be blocked and filled with fluid which prevents the egg from travelling properly at the same time. PCOS causes irregular ovulation and hormonal imbalance together. This or the main reasons conception is not happening even after one year of trying your thyroid treatment is also important because even if thyroid is not under control with medicine the underlying imbalance can affect relation and implantation Once repeat thyroid profile, LH,FSH, AMH,PROLACTIN Kanchanar guggulu Strirasayana vati Triphala guggulu-tablet, eat twice daily after food with warm water Phalagritha-1 teaspoon with warm milk at morning Shatavari churna-half teaspoon with warm milk at night
First of all it’s better to consult gynaecologist for lap , then as a supportive we can start on ayurvedic treatment
Hydrosalpinx and PCOS are complex conditions that can impact fertility, so it’s essential to address these issues holistically. In this situation, an integrated Siddha-Ayurvedic approach might offer some supportive measures alongside your current treatment.
First, for managing PCOS, balancing your doshas, particularly kapha and vata, is crucial. Begin by adjusting your diet to include more fresh vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Minimizes intake of processed foods, sugars, and dairy as they may aggravate kapha. Incorporating spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander can help in enhancing digestion and regulating agni or digestive fire.
With your thyroid medication in consideration, supportive herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari could be beneficial. Ashwagandha helps with stress reduction, which can indirectly aid hormonal balance, while Shatavari is traditionally used to nourish the reproductive system. However, consult your current healthcare provider before adding these herbs to avoid potential interactions.
Specific yoga postures like Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) and Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle Pose) can improve blood flow to the pelvic region and enhance reproductive health. Daily practice for about 15-30 minutes might be beneficial.
Hydrosalpinx can present more immediate challenges to conception and sometimes requires medical intervention. In conditions like this, surgical options may be necessary, so closely collaborate with your healthcare provider to explore all treatment avenues. If you’ve been trying to conceive for more than a year without success, it’s crucial to consult with a fertility specialist to discuss possible medical interventions and next steps. Always ensure your current medical treatments remain a priority when considering complementary approaches.
