For your daughter’s condition, which appears to be associated with hormonal imbalance, particularly elevated testosterone levels, Ayurveda can offer supportive care. The symptoms you described, such as irregular and scanty periods, facial hair, and weight gain, suggest an imbalance that needs to be addressed holistically.

In Ayurvedic terms, this might indicate an imbalance in Pitta and Kapha doshas. Here’s what could be useful:

1. Dietary Adjustments: Focus on a diet that pacifies Pitta and Kapha. Encourage her to eat more vegetables, especially leafy greens, and avoid spicy, oily, and excessively salty foods. Incorporate cooling herbs like coriander and fennel to help balance Pitta. Limit dairy intake, and emphasize whole grains like barley, quinoa, and oats.

2. Herbal Remedies: Ayurvedic herbs like Shatavari and Ashoka can help regulate menstrual cycles. Saw palmetto might assist in balancing testosterone. These herbs should be taken under advisement of an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner.

3. Exercise and Yoga: Regular physical activities such as brisk walking, swimming or cycling are crucial. Incorporate yoga poses like Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose) and Suryanamaskar (Sun Salutations) to enhance blood circulation and stimulate abdominal organs.

4. Lifestyle Practices: Ensure she maintains a consistent daily routine, getting up and going to bed same time every day. Stress management should also be prioritized; encourage meditation or pranayama like Anulom Vilom to relieve stress.

5. Ayurvedic Therapies: Panchakarma treatments could be beneficial. Consult with an Ayurvedic clinic to see therapies like Virechana or Ayurvedic body massages might be appropriate, as they can help detoxify the body and balance doshas.

Before starting any treatment, it is crucial to have an assessment done by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, as an in-depth diagnosis is needed to tailor specifics like dosage and treatment types. Also, considering the hormonal imbalance, I advise your daughter to consult an endocrinologist in parallel to ensure a comprehensive approach.

To get the best consultation, look for established Ayurvedic centers and practitioners in India with good reviews and solid reputations. You might consider popular centers in places like Kerala, well-known for its authentic Ayurveda practices.

For your daughter’s condition of irregular periods, high testosterone, facial hair, and weight gain, it seems there might be an imbalance relating to the dosha, particularly a pitta-kapha imbalance, and possibly a disruption in the reproductive tissue (Shukra dhatu). Addressing this condition with a holistic approach involving diet, herbs, and lifestyle is essential.

First, focus on dietary modifications to balance pitta and kapha. Reduce or avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods, and incorporate cooling, light, and fibrous foods into her diet, like plenty of fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, and whole grains. Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas, such as mint or fennel tea, can help cool the system.

Herbal supplementation can also be beneficial. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are useful for supporting hormonal balance and overall vitality. Take these as a powdered form or as prescribed by an Ayuvedic practitioner. Additionally, Triphala can aid with digestion and support detoxification.

Regular physical activity is crucial for maintaining healthy weight and hormone balance. Encourage practices like yoga or brisk walking, which also calm the mind and relieve stress. Avoid intense workouts, as they could elevate pitta.

A regular routine of Abhyanga, or self-massage using cooling oils like coconut or sunflower oil, can also help soothe imbalances by calming the nervous system and toxifying the body.

Considering the chronic nature of these symptoms, consulting with a Siddha-Ayurvedic practitioner who can conduct a detailed assessment of her prakriti (body constitution) and current state of doshas would be beneficial. This personalized consultation will provide more targeted treatment options, possibly incorporating Siddha medicines unique to the Southern Indian tradition.

If these symptoms worsen or persist, collaborating with a modern healthcare provider specializing in endocrinology for precise management and further investigation is wise. Balancing contemporary medical insights with traditional practices often offers the most comprehensive care.
