Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) at such a young age can indeed be challenging, but a structured approach with Ayurveda can be supportive. Let’s dive straight into what could be done.

First, consider addressing her diet. Avoid processed foods and high-sugar intake, as these aggravate the kapha dosha possibly linked to PCOD. Encourage her to have fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and include healthy fats like ghee and seeds in her meals. Specifically, foods like fenugreek seeds, cinnamon, and turmeric might help balance her hormones and improve her metabolic process. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of maintaining Agni (digestive fire), so it’s beneficial for her to have smaller, regular meals and avoid overeating.

For her menstrual cramps and lower back pain, Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame or maha narayan oil could help soothe these areas. Ensure she does this regularly, at least 2-3 times a week. Yoga postures such as Supta Baddha Konasana (reclined bound angle pose) can assist in relieving cramps and back pain, but she should practice them gently and without strain.

Given the excessive white discharge, introducing herbs like Ashoka and Shatavari into her routine can provide relief. Ashoka is traditionally known for its uterine tonic qualities, whereas Shatavari is considered balancing for female hormones. Drinking herbal teas made from these herbs once or twice daily.

Managing stress too, plays an important role. Encourage her to try meditation or pranayama exercises like Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing), which can calm her mind and body. These stress-reducing practices can potentially ease PMS symptoms.

If symptoms persist or worsen, it’s important that you seek the guidance of a healthcare professional alongside these Ayurvedic suggestions to ensure she gets appropriate care suitable for her specific needs. Keeping track of her symptoms and any changes is essential in understanding what works best for her.
