For the troubling anal fissures, it’s essential to address these from an Ayurvedic perspective. Anal fissures can be associated with imbalances in the Vata dosha, often linked to dryness and irregular bowel movements. Start with ensuring your daily intake of water is adequate — aim for at least 8-10 glasses to keep the system hydrated. Alongside this, include castor oil. About one teaspoon of castor oil at bedtime can act as a gentle purgative, which may aid in soothing the fissures by easing the bowel movement.

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which can help the healing process. A quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder in warm milk at night is advisable. It’s also beneficial to apply coconut oil or ghee directly on the affected area for lubrication and soothing relief.

For morning digestive issues, focus on strengthening Agni, your digestive fire. Consider taking triphala churna — one teaspoon with warm water, before bed, supports detoxification and regularizes bowel movements. Begin your morning with a glass of warm water mixed with a bit of lemon juice and honey, to get the digestive system going.

Dietary modifications are crucial. Increase intake of high-fiber foods such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, and fruits. Avoid processed and spicy foods, as they can lead to further irritation. And try to foster a routine that includes regular meal timings — this helps in stabilizing Vata.

Yoga practices like Pawanmuktasana can also help improve digestion and relieve constipation by stimulating digestion and the digestive organs. Practicing at least 10-15 minutes after awaking might show beneficial results.

If symptoms persist despite these changes, or worsen, consulting a healthcare professional might be necessary, as severe cases might need more targeted medical interventions. Avoid delaying professional medical help if the condition seems to escalate.
