Based on your description, your sons providing concerning symptoms—prolonged stomach pain, lack of appetite, subsisting only on liquids, and now fever. These symptoms could indicate an acute condition, possibly an infection or an inflammatory response. It is crucial to seek medical attention from a healthcare professional promptly, as the situation may require evaluation beyond what can be safely managed at home.

While awaiting medical care, there are certain Ayurvedic practices that could help in providing temporary relief, but these should not delay urgent consultation with a doctor. Ensuring hydration is vital. Continue encouraging intake of lukewarm water or herbal teas that aid digestion like a light ginger tea (only a small amount), which may help soothe the stomach. Avoid any strong or excessively spicy flavors, as they can aggravate discomfort.

In terms of diet, if he’s tolerating liquids, try introducing rice water or thin apple sauce—these are gentle on the stomach and can give some nourishment. Lightly strained vegetable soup or broth may provide some comfort and hydration. Monitor the child’s condition; should he develops new or worsens symptoms like increased fever, difficulty breathing, redness or swelling on the abdomen, etc., please prioritize immediate medical attention.

For future reference, maintaining a warm, calm environment with light meals could be soothing. Ashwagandha milk (a small amount, once he’s better) is known to support the immune system and digestion. However, see these measures as supportive, and not replace conventional medical approaches, especially in acute scenarios like this. Proper diagnosis and treatment should come first to address the root of problem effectively.

For a young child having stomach pain and a fever for several days, it’s crucial to be cautious. These symptoms could indicate various issues that require prompt medical attention, particularly because fever and persistent pain together are concerning. It’s important to rule out any serious conditions like infections or appendicitis, which are beyond the scope of Ayurveda alone. Please seek immediate medical care.

For supportive care while you seek a physician’s help, I’ll provide some general gentle ayurvedic approaches. However, these should never replace immediate medical evaluation. In Ayurveda, digestive issues like this might be related to an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, specifically when agni (digestive fire) is disturbed.

You can try a simple, non-spicy rice gruel (kanji), which is soothing and easy on the stomach. Mix well-cooked rice with plenty of water, mash it, and strain it to ensure it’s easy to drink. Serve warm. A pinch of cumin powder can be added for its digestive properties, but only in very small amounts.

Hydration is vital. Coconut water can be soothing and hydrating, but avoid sugar-laden drinks. Ensure he drinks enough plain water throughout the day.

Ginger water can also be mildly beneficial but use it with caution: Boil fresh ginger slices in water, strain, and cool, offering no more than a quarter of a cup intermittently, but stop if there is any nausea.

Ensure restful conditions, moderate warmth, and calm surroundings. Again, prioritize medical assessment first to exclude any serious underlying causes.
