While amino acids are vital for our body’s functions, when addressing atherosclerosis, the effectiveness of specific amino acids isn’t directly established in classic Ayurvedic texts. However, modern research suggests that some amino acids might be beneficial for cardiovascular health. L-arginine, for instance, helps enhance blood flow and support heart health — though it’s crucial to consult a healthcare provider before introducing new supplements.

In Ayurveda, vascular issues can relate to imbalances in Vata and Kapha doshas, leading to impaired circulation and blockages. To counteract these, focusing on a warm, nourishing diet is vital. Incorporate warm spices like ginger, turmeric, and garlic which aid in enhancing circulation and reducing ‘Ama’ (toxins). An infusion of dried ginger and honey may gently warm the body and support blood flow. Include whole grains, nuts, seeds, and vegetables — particularly the leafy greens.

For tinnitus and vertigo, Ayurveda focuses on balancing the Vata dosha. Nasya (nasal oil application) using warm sesame oil can be grounding and nourishing. Apply 2-3 warm drops of sesame oil in each nostril in the morning. Vertigo concern might benefit from consuming ginger tea, which can calm Vata. Additionally, regular self-massage with sesame oil can fortify the body against excess Vata.

Irish sea moss is rich in nutrients and can support overall health, but its specific impact on atherosclerosis isn’t clear in traditional texts. Achieving balance in your lifestyle and following a dosha-specific diet will often yield benefits, though it’s vital to ensure that any new supplement or external intervention suits your unique Prakriti. Be mindful of your overall plant-based diet integrating whole, unprocessed foods. Remain active two or three times a week at least, through gentle exercises such as yoga or walking, to help maintain circulation and balance. Always prioritize conventional medical advice and interventions when dealing with serious health issues like atherosclerosis.

Amino acids do play an important role in the body, including in protein synthesis and supporting various metabolic functions. However, when it comes to atherosclerosis, which involves the hardening and narrowing of the arteries primarily due to cholesterol buildup, amino acids alone may not provide significant relief or reversal of this condition.

In the Siddha-Ayurvedic tradition, addressing atherosclerosis involves understanding it through the lens of dosha imbalances, often relating to aggravated Kapha and Vata. This can lead to poor circulation and blockages. For managing such conditions, particular emphasis is on dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and herbal therapies that support heart health and promote better blood flow.

For tinnitus and vertigo, these symptoms could be related not only to circulation issues but also imbalances in Vata dosha, which governs movement and neurological functions. Grounding practices, maintaining regular sleep, and adhering to a Vata-pacifying diet can be beneficial.

Sea moss is nutrient-rich and can support your body with minerals and some amino acids, but it may not directly address arterial blockages or significantly impact vascular health. To support vascular health and manage symptoms, consider the following:

1. Incorporate garlic, which can help in improving circulation and reducing plaque buildup. Consume one clove of raw garlic daily on an empty stomach.

2. Drink warm water with lemon in the morning. It can aid kapha balance and support metabolism.

3. Ginger tea twice a day might aid circulation and digestion; it also has anti-inflammatory properties which are key in atherosclerosis management.

4. Include turmeric in your diet due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties. Add a half teaspoon to your meals or as a warm milk concoction in the evenings.

5. Practice gentle yoga and pranayama exercises to reduce stress and enhance circulation. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) is particularly recommended for balancing doshas and supporting the nadis.

If vertigo or tinnitus become severe, it would be critical to consult a healthcare professional. These symptoms can sometimes indicate serious conditions necessitating immediate attention.

While general lifestyle and dietary changes consistent with Ayurvedic principles can aid long-term management, always ensure you’re in contact with your medical doctor for conditions such as atherosclerosis, as they may require medical treatment or monitoring.
