Doctors' responses

Dr. Akshay Negi
I am currently pursuing my MD in Panchakarma, and by now I carry 3 yrs of steady clinical experience. Panchakarma for me is not just detox or some fancy retreat thing — it’s the core of how Ayurveda actually works to reset the system. During my journey I’ve handled patients with arthritis flares, chronic back pain, migraine, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalance, even skin and stress-related disorders... and in almost every case Panchakarma gave space for deeper healing than medicines alone. Working hands-on with procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana gave me a lot of practical insight. It's not just about performing the therapy, but understanding timing, patient strength, diet before and after, and how their mind-body reacts to cleansing. Some respond quick, others struggle with initial discomfort, and that’s where real patient support matters. I learnt to watch closely, adjust small details, and guide them through the whole process safely. My approach is always patient-centric. I don’t believe in pushing the same package to everyone. I first assess prakriti, agni, mental state, lifestyle, then decide what works best. Sometimes full Panchakarma isn’t even needed — simple modifications, herbs, or limited therapy sessions can bring results. And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.

What i want to suggest you is that you have to do panchakarma therapy mainly basti therapy for these issues. Only on the basis of Medicines i can’t make any promises Find a good panchakarma centre nearby and tell them your disease patterns Krimighana basti can be given in your case with other panchkarma therapies. So i strongly suggest to visit near panchakarma centre.

Sorry Sir but I m not satisfied with ur suggestion.

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. My dual expertise in Ayurveda and modern medicine allows me to create integrative treatment plans that are both effective and safe. I am deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to embrace Ayurvedic principles for sustainable health. Through this online platform, I am excited to offer virtual consultations, making the profound benefits of Ayurveda accessible to all. Whether you seek relief from a specific condition or aim to enhance overall vitality, I look forward to guiding you on your journey to balance and well-being with compassion and expertise.

Aap jo itne saalon se seh rahi hain, woh sirf constipation ya sirf urinary problem nahi hai. Yeh ek gehri, purani aur andar tak baithi hui samasya hai, jisko alag alag symptoms ke naam de diye gaye, lekin uska mool kaaran kabhi poori tarah address nahi hua. Jab 15 -20 saalon se roz constipation rahe, baar-baar UTI jaise symptoms aate rahein, pelvic area mein discomfort bana rahe aur alag systems ki medicines se koi sthayi relief na mile, toh iska matlab hota hai ki problem sirf functional nahi balki andar se chal rahi hoti hai.

Aapke case mein sabse important point yeh hai ki jab aapko intestinal tuberculosis ke liye medicines di gayi, toh sirf 2 din ke andar gastro aur urinary dono symptoms mein lagbhag poora relief mil gaya. Yeh bahut strong indication hai ki body ke andar koi chronic infective load tha jo suppress hote hi poora system normal behave karne laga. Agar yeh sirf muscle coordination, stress ya nerve related problem hoti, toh itni jaldi aur itna complete relief possible nahi hota.

Ayurveda ke view se is tarah ki condition ko hum Dushta Pakvashaya aur krimi janya Avarana ke roop mein dekhte hain. Matlab colon ke andar lambe samay se aise jeevanu bas jaate hain jo oxygen ke bina jeevit rehte hain. Yeh dheere dheere vata ke normal flow ko block kar dete hain. Jab vata apni gati kho deta hai, tab stool nikalte waqt pelvic muscles relax nahi hoti aur paradoxical contraction hota hai. Isi process ke chalte bladder aur urinary tract bhi baar baar irritate hota rehta hai.

Isliye Ayurveda mein yahan sirf laxative ya fiber ka role nahi hota. Humein infection ko todna, colon ke andar ka unhealthy environment badalna, vata ko sahi direction dena aur mucosa ko heal karna hota hai. Isi soch ke saath main aapko yeh treatment likh rahi hoon.

Subah khaali pet Vidangasava 4 teaspoon, sama matra paani ke saath, din mein do baar Yeh colon ke andar ke krimi, anaerobic bacterial load aur toxic fermentation ko kam karta hai.

Nashta ke baad Kutaja Ghan Vati 1 tablet Hingwashtaka Churna ½ teaspoon Gungune paani ke saath Yeh intestinal infection, gas, bloating aur pelvic spasm ko control karne mein madad karta hai.

Dopahar ke khane ke baad Panchamrita Parpati 125 mg Chandraprabha Vati 2 tablet Gungune paani ke saath Yeh bladder irritation, urinary frequency aur pelvic congestion ke liye upyogi hai.

Shaam ko Punarnavasava 10 ml, sama matra paani ke saath Yeh urinary tract aur pelvic region ki inflammation ko shaant karta hai.

Raat ke khane ke baad Kutaja Ghan Vati 1 tablet Hingwashtaka Churna 1/2 teaspoon Gungune paani ke saath

Bilva Avaleha 1 teaspoon raat ko Isse colon ki lining majboot hoti hai aur abnormal fermentation dheere-dheere kam hota hai.

Triphala Churna 3 gram Gungune paani ke saath Yeh stool ko naturally soft karta hai aur vata anuloman mein sahayak hota hai, bina aadat banaye.

Is poore treatment ko kam se kam 8-12 hafton tak regular lena zaroori hai. Shuru ke kuch hafton mein stool pattern, gas ya urge mein halka sa fluctuation aa sakta hai, jo healing process ka hissa hota hai.

Diet mein raw fruits, salads, cold foods aur fermented cheezein filhaal avoid karein. garm, halka, freshly cooked aur easily digestible khana zyada upyogi rahega. Raat ka khana halka aur jaldi Kare .

Hello Vikram, You’ve really laid out your problems with a lot of detail and honesty, and I appreciate that. But dont worry we are here to help you out 😊

YOUR CONCERN You’re 38, and for over 20 years, you’ve dealt with: –Bad constipation every day – Long-term UTIs – A prostate cyst – A diagnosis of Paradoxical Puborectalis Syndrome (PPS)

The big change came in 2015 after appendix surgery, when you went on treatment for Intestinal TB. Within two days of taking those Track-4 medicines: –Your constipation was 100% gone – Your UTI and urinary problems were 100% gone

Here’s a key observation The most relief came when you were on those strong Track-4 antibiotics. As the medicine doses decreased, your symptoms slowly crept back.

Your take away from this: You figure the main problem is an anaerobic bacterial issue. And you know what? Your thinking is completely logical and medically sound.

AYURVEDIC VIEWPOINT In Ayurveda, we don’t just call your condition constipation. It’s a tricky combination of three things:

1. Pakwashaya Dushti (Colon problems): This means old Ama (toxins) and an anaerobic infection. There’s been a lot of stuff stuck in your colon for a long time, messing up your gut bacteria. 2. Apana Vata Avarana: This is why your puborectalis muscle tightens up instead of relaxing when you try to pass stool. That’s why medicines haven’t worked for this part. 3. Mutravaha Srotas Dushti: This is the cross-infection between your colon and bladder, leading to chronic UTIs and your prostate cyst.

Why did the Intestinal TB medicines work? Because they: –Knocked out the anaerobic bacteria. –Broke the infection path from your colon to your bladder. –Got rid of the Ama. –Temporarily freed up your Apana Vata. That’s why you felt such a dramatic improvement.

A BIT OF TRUTH (PAY ATTENTION) Your problem isn’t: – Just a muscle issue. – Just a nerve issue. – Just in your head.

It’s about chronic anaerobic dysbiosis (bad gut bacteria) and a Vata imbalance. This is why regular laxatives, probiotics, fiber, and Triphala haven’t worked for you.

CAN AYURVEDA REALLY HELP?

Yes, but not with typical clinic medicines. You need a specific approach that targets: –Bacteria, toxins, and Vata all at once. –Your colon directly. – Long-term germ control without constant antibiotics.

WHAT WE’RE AIMING FOR

–Keeping the bad bacteria under control. –Making your colon a tough place for them to live. –Getting your Apana Vata back to normal for good. – Breaking the constipation and UTI cycle. – Stopping the problems from coming back.

AYURVEDIC PLAN

PHASE 1 – DEEP CLEANING and BACTERIA CONTROL (6–8 weeks)

1. Vidangarishta: 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after meals. This is for controlling anaerobic bacteria.

2. Krimighna Vati: 2 tablets twice daily after meals. For deep intestinal bugs.

3. Gandhak Rasayana 1 tablet twice daily. For long-standing infections, UTIs, and prostate help.

This phase is super important. It sets the stage for everything else.

PHASE 2 – APANA VATA REBOOT (THE MOST CRUCIAL PART)

Without Basti (enema therapy), it’s hard to get lasting relief.* I recommend: –Kala Basti / Yoga Basti (specific types of enemas). –Anuvasana + Niruha (another pair of enema types). – Using medicines with Dashmoola + Erandmool.

Why this works: It improves puborectalis muscle coordination, resets colon nerve signals, and normalizes bladder pressure. For cases like yours, Basti is as powerful as surgery.

PHASE 3 – STAYING WELL LONG-TERM (3–6 months)

1. Chandraprabha Vati: 2 tablets twice daily. 2. Punarnava Guggulu: 2 tablets twice daily. 3. Abhayarishta: 10 ml at night (not a laxative dose).

DIET (SUPER IMPORTANT)

❌AVOID (seriously, avoid these): * Raw salads * Too much fiber (it’s actually bad for you right now) * Fermented foods * Cold foods * Protein powders * Probiotics (unless I tell you to take the

✅EAT THESE: * Soft, cooked food * Rice, moong dal * Ghee every day * Warm water * Simple meals

Your gut is upset and infected. It needs to rest, not be loaded up.

Vikram ji, patients like you are often told their problems are functional, psychological, or idiopathic (meaning they don’tknow the cause), and then left hanging. That’s wrong. –Your observations are really sharp. –Ayurveda has a logical, root-level solution for this. –But it won’t work with half-baked knowledge or casual treatment.

Warm regards, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Dr. Narendrakumar V Mishra
I am a Consulting Ayurvedic Physician practicing since 1990—feels strange saying “over three decades” sometimes, but yeah, that’s the journey. I’ve spent these years working closely with chronic conditions that don’t always have clear answers in quick fixes. My main work has been around skin disorders, hair fall, scalp issues, and long-standing lifestyle stuff like diabetes, arthritis, and stress that kinda lingers under everything else. When someone walks into my clinic, I don’t jump to treat the problem on the surface. I start by understanding their *prakriti* and *vikriti*—what they’re made of, and what’s currently out of sync. That lets me build treatment plans that actually *fit* their system—not just push a medicine and hope it works. I use a mix of classical formulations, panchakarma if needed, dietary corrections, and slow, practical lifestyle changes. No overnight miracle talk. Just steady support. Hair fall and skin issues often feel cosmetic from outside—but internally? It’s about digestion, stress, liver, hormones... I’ve seen patients try 10+ things before landing in front of me. And sometimes they just need someone to *listen* before throwing herbs at the problem. That’s something I never skip. With arthritis and diabetes too, I take the same root-cause path. I give Ayurvedic medicines, but also work with *dinacharya*, *ahar* rules, and ways to reduce the load modern life puts on the body. We discuss sleep, food timing, mental state, all of it. I’ve also worked a lot with people dealing with high stress—career burnout, anxiety patterns, overthinking—and my approach there includes Ayurvedic counseling, herbal mind support, breathing routines... depends what suits them. My foundation is built on classical *samhitas*, clinical observation, and actual time with patients—not theories alone. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel well—not just for a few weeks, but in a way that actually lasts. Healing that feels like *them*, not just protocol. That’s what I keep aiming for.

I am an Ayurvedic doctor currently practicing at Ayushakti Ayurveda—which honestly feels more like a learning ecosystem than just a clinic. Being here has changed the way I look at chronic conditions. You don’t just treat the label—you go after the cause, layer by layer, and that takes patience, structure, and real connection with the person sitting in front of you. Ayushakti has been around 33+ years, with global reach and seriously refined clinical systems. That means I get to work with protocols that are both deeply rooted in traditional Ayurveda and also super practical for today’s world. Whether I’m managing arthritis, asthma, skin issues like eczema or psoriasis, hormone trouble, gut problems, or stress overload—my first step is always a deep analysis. Prakriti, doshas, ahar-vihar, past treatments—everything gets mapped out. Once I’ve got that picture clear, I create a plan using herbal medicines, detox programs (especially Panchakarma), Marma therapy if needed, and definitely food and routine corrections. But nothing’s random. Each piece is chosen for *that* person. And I don’t just prescribe—I explain. Because when someone knows *why* they’re doing a certain thing, they stick with it longer, and the results hold. One thing I’ve learned while working here is how powerful Ayurved can be when it's structured right. At Ayushakti, that structure exists. It helps me treat confidently and track results properly. Whether I’m working with a first-time visitor or a patient who’s been dealing with the same thing for 10 years, my goal stays the same—help their system return to a natural, sustainable state of balance. What I really enjoy is seeing how people’s mindset changes once they start to feel better. When they stop depending on just temporary relief and start building their health from within—that’s when the real shift happens. And being part of that shift? That’s why I do this.

I am an Ayurveda practitioner who’s honestly kind of obsessed with understanding what really caused someone’s illness—not just what hurts, but why it started in the first place. I work through Prakruti-Vikruti pareeksha, tongue analysis, lifestyle patterns, digestion history—little things most ppl skip over, but Ayurveda doesn’t. I look at the whole system and how it’s interacting with the world around it. Not just, like, “you have acidity, take this churna.” My main focus is on balancing doshas—Vata, Pitta, Kapha—not in a copy-paste way, but in a very personalized, live-and-evolving format. Because sometimes someone looks like a Pitta imbalance but actually it's their aggravated Vata stirring it up... it’s layered. I use herbal medicine, ahar-vihar (diet + daily routine), lifestyle modifications and also just plain conversations with the patient to bring the mind and body back to a rhythm. When that happens—healing starts showing up, gradually but strongly. I work with chronic conditions, gut imbalances, seasonal allergies, emotional stress patterns, even people who just “don’t feel right” anymore but don’t have a name for it. Prevention is also a huge part of what I do—Ayurveda isn’t just for after you fall sick. Helping someone stay aligned, even when nothing feels urgent, is maybe the most powerful part of this science. My entire practice is rooted in classical Ayurvedic texts—Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam—and I try to stay true to the system, but I also speak to people where they’re at. That means making the treatments doable in real life. No fancy lists of herbs no one can find. No shloka lectures unless someone wants them. Just real healing using real logic and intuition together. I care about precision in diagnosis. I don’t rush that part. I take time. Because one wrong assumption and you’re treating the shadow, not the source. And that’s what I try to avoid. My goal isn’t temporary relief—it’s to teach the body how to not need constant fixing. When someone walks away lighter, clearer, more in tune with their system—that’s the actual win.

I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

I am working in Ayurveda for about 2 years now, mainly around gynecological problems, which I honestly feel are way more common than most people realise. I see a lot of women struggling silently with issues like irregular periods, cramps that just don’t stop, mood swings, PCOS kind of symptoms... sometimes they come in after trying a bunch of stuff already n nothing really works long-term. That’s where I try to bring in a more rooted approach. I use a mix of Ayurvedic principles, dietetics (like food based on dosha & body type etc), and yoga therapy to manage these conditions. It’s not just about reducing pain during periods or balancing hormones—it’s more like trying to understand what’s causing the imbalances in the first place. I spend time trying to map the prakriti-vikriti profile and see how stress, food, daily habits are impacting the cycle. I don’t rush things, coz honestly healing isn't linear and doesn't follow some fixed timeline. And not everyone wants to jump into panchakarma straightaway either, right? Also pain management is a big part of my work. Whether it’s period cramps or pelvic pain, or even chronic stuff tied to digestion and fatigue, I look at how we can ease that naturally. Sometimes through simple things like castor oil packs, or subtle shifts in routine, other times I may recommend herbs or formulations. Yoga plays a huge role too, esp. when the body feels stuck or inflamed. Not gym-style yoga, more therapeutic.. breath n movement syncing with dosha correction, that kind of thing. To be honest, I’m still learning—Ayurveda’s depth is huge, and I feel like I’m just getting started. But what I do know is, when I see women begin to trust their own body’s rhythm again, that’s really powerful. Makes all the effort worth it. Even small relief matters. It's not perfect, sometimes things take longer, sometimes we need to adjust mid-way... but it's real.

I am an Ayurvedic doctor trying to bring the old wisdom of chikitsa into daily life, even if sometime I feel I am still learning new things every single day.. I work mostly with the classical principles, the ones I studied again n agin during my training, and I try to see how they fit with each patient’s prakriti and the tiny details of their health story. I am often thinking how Ayurveda doesn’t rush anything, it asks for understanding of the roga and even the rogi in a deeper way, and I keep that in mind when someone walks in and tell me their concerns. Some cases are simple, some not really, but I do my best to look at the ahara, vihara, dosha pattern and even the habits they don’t notice at first. Sometimes I get a bit caught up in analysing too many factors at once, or typing notes too fas and mixing commas,, but at the core I focus on using authentic Ayurvedic approaches—herbal formulations, routine correction, panchkarma suggestions where needed—and I try to guide people gently without overwhelming them. I am also aware that many patients come with doubts or half-heard ideas about Ayurveda, and I try to clear those without sounding too “doctorly,” just explaining what makes sense for their body. I want them to feel they can trust the process, even if progress take time or feel slow on some days. I am still growing in this field, and every person who comes to me reminds me why I chose Ayurveda in the first place: clarity, balance, and healing that respects the person as a whole. There are moments where I wish I had more hours in a day to study more granthas or revise a chapter I skipped, but I stay committed to giving care that is genuine, thoughtful and rooted in traditional practice—even if the journey gets a bit messy here n there !!

I am an Ayurvedic physcian with post-grad degree in Kayachikitsa (that’s internal medicine btw) and been working hands-on in clinical setups for over 5 yrs now—since finishing my BAMS. My work mostly revolve around managing internal disorders through classical Ayurvedic approach, especially chronic stuff... like digestion gone haywire, thyroid flares, migraine-types, joint probs or even weird skin things that just don’t go. I try to really *see* the patient before labeling the condition—because most times it’s not just a gut issue or just back pain, it’s a full picture out of balance. I use a mix of classical formulations, Panchakarma where needed (some people really benefit from it), daily routine tweaks, and sometimes even just diet correction can be way more powerful than we think. I also focus a lot on listening—like not rushing ppl into protocol mode unless we figure out what’s really going on. That part matters, at least to me. I mean what’s the point of a textbook-perfect plan if the patient can’t stick to it or feel worse halfway? Right? Metabolic disorders, fatigue, anxiety-patterns, IBS, migraines, skin-autoimmune crossover... those are kinda common cases I see often. And every plan is unique—nothing cookie-cutter, coz prakriti, age, agni, it all varies wildly. I try to keep things practical, science-backed, but still rooted in the Ayurvedic view of healing—not symptom chasing but fixing from the base. Doesn’t mean ignoring modern tools either... sometimes I’ll ask for labs, scans, referrals, whatever’s needed to support clean diagnosis. If you ask what drives me, it’s honestly that moment when a person says “I feel normal again.” That’s it. That’s the goal. Healing not just the disease but the human wrapped around it. Feels right, even on the off days.

I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

I am someone who’s honestly just really drawn to how deep Ayurveda goes—like really deep—not just treating what’s showing on the surface but getting into what’s actually causing it underneath. I really believe that even those complicated lifestyle diseases, stuff like diabetes or BP or obesity that people think they’ll just have to live with forever, can totally be managed with Ayurvedic principles. Not magically or overnight, but through proper diagnosis, diet tweaks, daily habits, and herbs that actually work if you use them right. That’s the part I focus on—making Ayurveda work practically, not just in theory. After finishing my BAMS, I’ve worked with chronic conditions for over a year now in clinical setups. Mostly patients dealing with long-term stuff that doesn’t go away with one pill—usually the kind of disorders rooted in stress, wrong food choices or too much sitting. I’ve seen that if you really listen first, like actually listen—hear their story, feel where they’re coming from—half the work’s already done. Then when you assess their Prakriti, figure out where the doshas are out of balance, and connect that with their history (plus any modern test reports they might bring), it gives you this full picture that’s so valuable. My treatment plans aren't one-size-fits-all. Sometimes it’s about bringing agni back into balance. Sometimes just clearing aam helps. Most people are shocked that things like bloating or even periods issues can shift just by aligning food and herbs with their constitution. And if the case is acute or there’s a red flag, I have no problem referring for emergency allopathic care. Integrative care makes sense—Ayurveda doesn’t have to be isolated from modern medicine. My aim? It's not just to fix a symptom. I want people to feel at ease in their own body again. To build habits they don’t need to break later. To know their own rhythm, not just follow some generic health trend. That’s what Ayurvedic healing means to me... not perfect, but real.

I am a BAMS graduate and currently running my own clinic, where I see patients on a regular basis and try to give them honest, practical care. My daily work involves understanding different health concerns, listening properly to what the patient is going through, and then planning treatment in a way that actually fits their routine. I believe treatment should not feel confusing or rushed, and sometimes even small changes make a big difference. Running my own clinic has taught me a lot about responsibility and consistency. Some days are busy, some are slow, but every patient brings a different challenge and learning. I focus mainly on Ayurvedic treatment methods, lifestyle correction and long-term health balance, rather than quick fixes. There are times when progress takes longer, but I stay patient and keep working with the person step by step. I try to keep my approach simple, practical and honest. For me, real success is when a patient feels better in daily life, sleeps better, eats better and slowly regains balance. That is what keeps me going and improving every day.
