Hello Mr. Gilbert, I get why you’re not feeling great. At 71, food hanging around in your stomach, all that belching, and acid reflux isn’t just a bit of acidity. It probably means your digestion isn’t working so well. But don’t worry, we can fix this gently and safely. YOUR CONCERN –71 years old –Problems: -Food sits in your stomach too long -Lots of burping - Acid reflux/heartburn -Feel heavy after eating What Ayurveda Says This is called Ajeerna with Urdhwaga Amlapitta basically indigestion causing acid reflux. This happens because: – As you get older, things slow down. – Your digestion gets weaker. – Food sits and makes gas and acid. So, antacids will only help for a little bit. We need to make your digestion stronger and get things moving properly. What to Do About It 1. Help Stomach Empty Hingwashtak Churna: 1/2 teaspoon before meals with warm water. Helps your stomach move things along and stops gas. 2. Stop Acid Reflux Avipattikar Churna: 1/2 teaspoon after meals with warm water. Cools down excess acid and stops heartburn. 3. Make Digestion Stronger Trikatu Churna 1/4 teaspoon before meals with honey. Gets your digestion fired up again without causing irritation. 4. Help at Night ** Triphala Churna** 1/2 teaspoon at bedtime. Keeps things moving so gas doesn’t build up. DIET PLAN (Super Important!)** ❌AVOID –Tea, coffee –Fried stuff – Curd –Cheese –Big dinners –Late-night meals – Cold water ✅INCLUDE – Warm cooked food – Rice, dal, khichdi (Indian lentil and rice dish) –Vegetable soups – Ginger –Cumin – Sips of warm water Eat small meals every 3–4 hours. No big platefuls! Sleep and How You Sit – Don’t lie down right after eating. – Keep your head a bit higher when you sleep. When You’ll Feel Better – Burping less: 5–7 days – Reflux better: 2 weeks –Stomach working right: 3–4 weeks This is very safe, even at your age. You don’t have to put up with feeling bad. Your stomach can work like it should again. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
