Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your daughter’s symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in her body as a whole.
The swelling near the ears and jaw area, accompanied by pain, can be seen as an imbalance of the Kapha and Pitta doshas. Kapha is associated with accumulation and congestion, which may manifest as swelling. Pitta, on the other hand, relates to inflammation and pain. Frequent recurrence may indicate an underlying issue with her body’s ability to clear toxins or manage inflammation effectively.
From an Ayurvedic viewpoint, this could suggest an accumulation of ‘ama’ (toxins) in the body, possibly due to weak digestion or inappropriate dietary habits. The location of the swelling near the jaw and ears might also point to lymphatic congestion, which is often a Kapha-related issue.
Ayurveda views this as a systemic imbalance rather than isolated symptoms. Addressing digestion, reducing inflammation, and enhancing circulation could be beneficial.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.
Please answer each question as clearly as possible.
