Sanjeevani Vati Side Effects - #5371

Bella

I started taking Sanjeevani Vati for digestive issues and general immunity boosting because someone said it’s great for detoxifying the body. I’ve been on it for about two weeks now, but I’m starting to wonder about Sanjeevani Vati side effects. Recently, I’ve noticed some mild headaches and a weird sensation of dryness in my mouth. Could this be one of the Sanjeevani Vati side effects? The other thing I’m worried about is my stomach. While my digestion seems a little better, I’ve been feeling slight discomfort after meals. I’m not sure if it’s because of Sanjeevani Vati side effects or if it’s something else entirely. I usually take two tablets with warm water after meals, but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to use it. I also read somewhere that Sanjeevani Vati might cause heat in the body. Could this be why I’ve been feeling a bit warmer than usual, especially in the evenings? Has anyone else experienced Sanjeevani Vati side effects like this? If so, how long did it take for them to go away?

Sanjeevani Vati is generally well-tolerated, but it can cause side effects in some individuals, especially if taken in excess or without proper guidance. Here’s what you might be experiencing:

Headaches & Dry Mouth: Mild headaches and a dry mouth could be related to the herb’s warming effects on the body. It may also be a sign of dehydration, as detoxifying herbs can sometimes increase water loss. Ensure you’re drinking plenty of water. Stomach Discomfort: Slight stomach discomfort after meals can occur, especially if your body is adjusting to the detoxifying effects of Sanjeevani Vati. It’s important to ensure that you’re taking it in the correct dosage and as directed. Heat in the Body: Sanjeevani Vati has a warming effect, which could explain why you’re feeling warmer, especially in the evenings. This is a common side effect, particularly for individuals with a Pitta constitution or those prone to heat. To address these issues:

Check Dosage: Ensure you’re following the recommended dosage. If you’re taking two tablets after meals, it may be worth adjusting based on your comfort. Drink Water: Drink plenty of fluids to help balance the warming effect and prevent dehydration. Monitor Symptoms: If symptoms persist, it may be helpful to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to determine if this formulation is ideal for your body type and condition. Side effects should subside with time as your body adjusts, but if they continue, consider reducing the dosage or discontinuing use under professional guidance.

Sounds like you’ve been on quite a journey getting into Sanjeevani Vati! For those curious, Sanjeevani Vati is a popular Ayurvedic formulation known for its rejuvenating and detoxifying properties. However, it can have side effects, especially if not taken right. Your mild headaches and dry mouth could indeed be linked to it. They might hint at a Pitta imbalance, which this vati can sometimes aggravate due to it’s heat-inducing properties.

When someone experiences heat build-up, it’s crucial to balance it with cooling and hydrating elements. You’ve been taking two tablets after meals; however, smaller doses could be more appropriate, especially if you’re sensitive. Try reducing to one tablet post meal and see if symptoms ease.

Speaking of warmth, if you’re feeling hotter in the evening, it might be due to the Pitta’s peak around midday, which, when not pacified, may carry over into the evening. To counteract, you might wanna incorporate cooling foods into your diet - like cucumber, coriander, and coconut water. Also, drinking herbal teas like chamomile or peppermint can be very soothing.

Considering your stomach discomfort: it’s worth noting if you feel improvement with dose adjustment. It might also be a good idea to drink warm, not hot, water and chew fennel seeds after eating, as this can support smoother digestion.

If symptoms persist beyond two weeks after making these tweaks, ease off from Sanjeevani Vati and monitor any changes. It’s always important to listen to your body and adjust accordingly. If discomfort continues or worsens contact an Ayurvedic practitioner near you to ensure a thorough assessment of your doshic balances and constitution. Finding the right balance is key to harnessing benefits without side effects. The goal is always to support your overall well-being, and sometimes it involves a bit of experimenting safely!
