Hello Sadhana, we have to find out the cause of your constipation. It is important that you analyse your diet whether you are eating too much of dry food, drinking less water eating less whole grains and vegetables, or are you chronically stressed or there is any other health issue related to your digestive system, lack of good fats in diet can also lead to dryness in the intestine, causing constipation . Incorporate good amount of physical activity in your daily routine to help mobilise the stools have coriander, cumin, fennel tea every day twice. This will help in boosting the digestion. Do you have any other digestive issues like low appetite or hyper acidity or bloating?

Alright, I hear you. Constipation can be really annoying, especially if it's been running in the family and seems like an unsolvable mystery! The good part is, Ayurveda might have some insights to add to your doc’s advice, and they usually tend to work over time. Since you're taking Zandu tablets, let’s see what else we can add to the routine. First off, sometimes constipation happens when the Vata dosha is out of balance. When Vata's aggravated, our digestive fire, or Agni, might not be working efficiently. So, regularizing Vata could help here. Think about tweaking your diet a bit. Could you try steering clear of too much dry, cold, or raw food? Yep, those can sometimes worsen Vata. Aim for warm, cooked meals, like a nice bowl of khichdi or soups. Toss some ghee in your food — it’s like magic for digestion and won't hurt unless you’re trying to cut down on fats for specific health reasons. Hydration matters too, simple but easily overlooked! Drinking a warm glass of water, maybe with a squeeze of lemon, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can often kickstart the bowels. You could also consider sipping on herbal teas. A soothing fennel or ginger tea might just provide the gentle nudge needed sometimes. Or, mix a teaspoon of triphala powder in warm water before bed; this ancient remedy usually helps regulate bowel movements. Strangely, even stress could back your system up. Few minutes of simple breathing exercises or meditation could not only calm your mind but also your digestion. Lastly, regular physical activity like walking can often encourage natural bowel movements. But before trying any of these, maybe just check in with your doc again to make sure they're cool with adding to your routine. Remember, balance is the key and Ayurveda is all about patience and consistency.
