Dear Pushpender,
To achieve clear and smooth skin, follow these Ayurvedic tips:
1. Cleansing and Protection: Use homemade neem and tulsi water as a face wash. Cover your face with a cotton cloth or scarf while riding outside. Clean your face with rose water twice a day. Take steam once a week to cleanse pores. 2. Ayurvedic Face Packs: Mix neem + multani mitti + turmeric + rose water and apply twice a week. Apply aloe vera gel and honey at night for 10 minutes. Use sandalwood powder with a pinch of camphor for pimples and scars. 3. Diet and Lifestyle: Eat cooling foods like coconut water, cucumber, and watermelon. Avoid fried, spicy, and junk food. Drink 1 glass of carrot, beetroot, and amla juice daily. Take triphala powder at night with warm water for detox. 4. Herbs and Remedies: Chew 2-3 neem leaves every morning. Apply kumkumadi oil on your face at night for clear skin. Use manjishtha powder for blood purification. 5. Additional Tips: Avoid touching your face frequently. Wash pillowcases and towels regularly. Practice Anulom-Vilom and Kapalbhati pranayama for 15 minutes daily. With consistency and these natural remedies, your skin will improve and become healthier.
To achieve clear and smooth skin, especially with oily skin prone to pimples, it’s essential to follow a holistic skincare routine that addresses both internal and external factors. First, avoid over-cleansing, as it can strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to more oil production. Since you are exposed to dust and pollution, consider adding a natural sunscreen to protect your skin from environmental damage. Use a gentle Ayurvedic cleanser with ingredients like neem, tulsi, or turmeric to cleanse without irritating the skin. While turmeric and multani mitti are great for soothing and cleansing the skin, be careful not to overuse them, as they may dry out the skin and increase oil production. It’s important to also include a diet rich in antioxidants, such as amla, leafy greens, and water-rich fruits to help purify the blood and support skin health. Additionally, include herbal supplements like Neem or Triphala to detoxify from within and balance Pitta dosha, which is often linked to skin inflammation and pimples. Lastly, try to use a calming oil like sesame or coconut oil at night to help nourish the skin and maintain its natural barrier. If you continue to face issues, consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance would be helpful.
Sounds like you’re dealing with quite a bit on your skin, especially with oily skin and pimpless. The combo of pollution and scooty rides surely isn’t helping I imagine. So, let’s focus on some Ayurvedic tips that might be a game-changer for you.
Firstly, it’s good you’re using, those natural treatments now and then — turmeric and multani mitti can work charms on oily skin. But let’s tweak things a bit. Maybe try using the turmeric paste more frequently, like twice a week. It’s amazing for reducing inflammation and controlling oil if you’re consistent. But hey, don’t leave it on for too long, 15-20 mins max, else turmeric can stain yellow.
Now about that face washing, could you be overdoing it a bit? Washing too often can actually strip your skin of natural oils, prompting it to produce even more oil as a compensatory mechanism. Especially in Ayurveda, keeping balance, or ‘dosha’ balance, is key. Maybe switch to a gentle cleanser twice daily, and skip the toner if its full of alcohol as it can dry you out further, although it sounds contradictory with oily skin.
Diet plays a huge role too — what you eat can affect your skin health. Try to consume more foods high in beta-carotene like carrots and sweet potatoes. Drink warm water with lemon in the morning on an empty stomach to help detoxify. Avoid excessively spicy or oily foods, these can exacerbate the Pitta dosha, leading to breakouts.
Oiling your scalp with a mild oil like coconut or sesame might balance things there. Just a light massage once a week.
Finally, when you’re back from outdoors, splash your face with plain water. Don’t just wait for bathing to cleanse. It helps remove the grit before it settles into pores.
Remember, consistency is key with Ayurveda. Changes in regimen must be gradual and sustainable, so these practices integrate into your daily life without being a burden. Please, bear in mind your actions should align with how your skin reacts, subtle’s adjustments can make a big difference!
