Experiencing mental agitation and overthinking can indeed be taxing, and while the supplements you are taking like Brahmi Vati, Medha Vati, and Mentat Syrup may provide some relief, they’re sometimes not enough alone. Ayurveda suggests focusing on the root cause and looking into deeper aspects such as dosha imbalances and lifestyle factors.

Consider incorporating practices that pacify the mind. Start with Abhyanga or oil massage with warm sesame oil, which could be calming for Vata imbalance that’s often linked to overthinking. A daily routine is essential too; try to wake up and go to bed at the same time every day to align with your natural circadian rhythm.

Diet wise, prefer warm, cooked, and easily digestible foods like kichari, which is soothing to the digestive fire (agni). Avoid stimulants like coffee or tea as they might be contributing to your discomfort. Occasionally drink warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg before bed for its sedative properties (only in case lactose suits you).

Pranayama or breathing exercises can also calm the mind. Practicing Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) for 10 minutes daily can help in calming agitation and stabilizing emotions. Additionally, engaging in mindfulness meditation can increase present moment awareness, reduce needless imagining and strengthen mental clarity.

Ensuring you have a good sleep quality is vital too. Limit screen time before bed, and perhaps diffuse calming essential oils like lavender, which may aid relaxation. Ayurveda emphasizes balance — both in mind and body — so integrating these approaches holistically could provide more relief over time. However, if the agitation persists, consulting a professional might be necessary to explore further options, incluing those outside Ayurveda.

Symptoms related to the mind can only be treated when you make up ur mind to get rid of them.

Try and avoid the trigger factors which make you overthink as much possible. In this condition the state of mind can surely control by altering your thoughts…

Just note the patterns n timings of the feeling and make yourself busy in that time… If you have nothing to do at that time simple do some physical activity or go for a walk or if it is possible for you concentrate on your breath(which most of the people find difficult to do)

Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. But you have to do it early in the morning only.

Donot get yourself into any addictions. Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks.

Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. Consume audio form of data rather than visuals before you sleep. Filter the content of data you consume… Let it be spiritual or positive…

Avoid outside food, packed and processed food.

Continue MEDHA VATI and add the below remidies.

Panchendriya Vardhan Tailam 2 drops in each nostril early in the morning empty stomach.

Cap. Memorin(S.G.Phytopharma) 2 caps twice a day before food.

Syp. Prasham 4 tsp at bed time with lukewarm water.

Also remember PRANAYAM and MEDITATION are the most effective ways to control your wandering mind.

It is not easy but starting at small intervals n eventually increasing the timing will help miraculously.
