I have anxiety, my body shiver,my brain do overthinking,i feel like cry all the time, m upset..i don’t know what to do. Whenever i did something i was thinking the another person will judged me. Don’t want to eat food.

Understanding anxiety through the Ayurvedic lens can offer a unique perspective. We view anxiety as primarily a Vata dosha imbalance. Vata, composed of the elements air and ether, governs movement and the nervous system. When out of balance, it can lead to symptoms like overthinking, trembling, and insomnia.

People struggling with Vata imbalance often benefit from grounding routines. Begin with establishing a daily routine. This means waking up and going to bed at the same time every day, eating meals regularly and finding time for relaxation. Getting back a rhythm helps stabilize Vata.

Warmth and nourishment in your diet can also help. Include cooked, easy-to-digest foods like soups, stews, and warm whole grains. Avoid cold and dry foods. Consider adding spices like ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom for their warming properties. They improve digestion and ease the mind. Sip on warm herbal teas like ashwagandha or Brahmi to promote calmness.

Practicing self-care activities like abhyanga, which is self-massage with warm oil such as sesame or almond oil, can provide relaxation and connect you with your body. This is preferably done in the morning or just before bath; allow the oil to absorb into your skin for at least 15-20 minutes.

Mindfulness or meditation could be beneficial. Even simple breathing exercises, like alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana), can help balance your nervous system. Start with 5-7 minutes a day and gradually increase it.

Though these are gentle ways to support your well-being, ensure that you’re also seeing a health professional to address the possibility of underlying causes. If you ever feel overwhelmed to the point of worrysome, do not hesitate to seek immediate help from mental health professionals. It’s vital there’s no substitute for professional diagnosis and treatment when necessary.
