I am kinda lost right now. I’ve been hearing a lot about ashwagandha and medha vati lately. My friend recommended they might help with my anxiety and stress, especially with work being super overwhelming. I’ve tried medha vati for a bit, and it seemed to calm my mind, but then I read about ashwagandha, and people say it could do wonders too. My biggest worry is, can I take ashwagandha and medha vati together? Like, does anyone know if that’s safe? I’d love to get some advice from you all. I mean, I don’t want to end up with some weird side effects or anything. I’ve looked online, but there's just so much info out there, it feels confusing. Sometimes it feels like other people are taking all these herbs and getting better while I’m just here stuck at my desk, feeling anxious. Anyone been in a similar spot and can share what worked for you? Thanks!

Start with a lower dose of ashwagandha, for example 500 mg, and combine it with medha vati as you have been taking, monitoring how your body and mind respond.

While taking both, attend to your diet. You want to favor foods that pacify any dosha imbalance you’re experiencing. For instance, include grounding, warm foods if vata symptoms such as anxiety or spaciness are predominant. Adequate hydration, regular meal timing, and limiting stimulating foods like caffeine, can also help in soothing the mind and body.

Make sure to involve mindfulness practices too. Set aside a few minutes every day for pranayama or meditation to create a holistic approach. However, if you have any chronic health issues, it’s advisable to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or your healthcare provider to tailor these recommendations based on your unique health profile.
