Hii dear… I’m really glad you shared this. What you’re experiencing — forgetfulness, confusion, excessive thinking, brain fog, mood swings, headaches, lack of focus and concentration — does not mean you are weak or losing control. It means your mind and nervous system have been under continuous stress for the last few months.

Stress-triggered symptoms like yours are very common when: 1.The mind is constantly overworked 2.Worries are running in the background all the time 3.There is mental overload without proper rest 4.Emotional stress is not expressed 5.The nervous system stays in a “fight or flight” mode

Your body is trying to tell you: “I need slowing down, safety, rest, and care.”

The good news is — this is reversible. With the right routine, support, and patience, clarity and calm can return.

You are not broken. You are not failing. You are simply mentally exhausted. I’m here with you, and you’ve already taken the first healing step by asking for help.

🌿 Ayurvedic Supportive Medicines (To calm the mind, reduce brain fog, and improve focus) 1.Brahmi Ghrita – 1 tsp at night with warm water or milk Improves memory, concentration, sleep, and mental clarity 2.Saraswatarishta – 10–15 ml with equal water after meals, twice daily Helps with confusion, mood swings, anxiety, and mental fatigue 3.Ashwagandha (Tablet / Churna) – 500 mg twice daily or 1 tsp churna at night with warm milk Reduces stress hormones, overthinking, and improves deep sleep 4.Jatamansi Capsule – 1 capsule twice daily after food Stabilizes mood, reduces headaches, calms excessive thoughts

🌱 Lifestyle Changes (This is the MOST important part of your recovery) ⭐ 1. Reset Your Sleep–Wake Cycle • Sleep before 11 PM • No phone 1 hour before bed • Warm shower at night • Dim lights, calming music or silence Sleep is medicine for your brain. ⭐ 2. Reduce Mental Overstimulation (Phone Detox) Start gently: • Keep phone away from bed • No phone while eating • Limit screen time gradually • Replace scrolling with short walks, breathing, or journaling Your brain needs rest from constant input. ⭐ 3. Reduce Overthinking (Grounding Practice) Twice daily: • One hand on chest, one on stomach • Inhale 4 seconds → hold 2 → exhale 6 • Continue for 5 minutes This tells your nervous system: “I am safe.” ⭐ 4. Gentle Daily Movement • 20–30 minutes walking or yoga • Even 10 minutes helps reduce brain fog and anxiety ⭐ 5. Reconnect Slowly You don’t need big social changes: • Sit with family for 10 minutes • Spend 5 minutes in sunlight • One small interaction daily is enough

❌ Don’ts • Don’t lie in bed scrolling • Don’t skip meals • Don’t isolate yourself for long • Don’t Google symptoms repeatedly • Avoid coffee/tea after 5 PM • Avoid afternoon sleep ✔️ Do’s • Eat warm, freshly cooked food • Fix a regular wake-up time • Drink 2–3 glasses of warm water in the morning • Spend 10–20 minutes in sunlight • Use calming herbal teas (Tulsi, Brahmi, Chamomile) • Write your thoughts in a journal before sleeping

🌼 Healing Timeline • Better sleep & calmer mind: 1–2 weeks • Reduced brain fog & headaches: 3–4 weeks • Improved focus & emotional balance: 6–8 weeks Consistency matters more than perfection.

🌸 A Gentle Reminder You are not going crazy. You are not weak. Your mind is tired — and tired minds heal beautifully with care. You are already recovering. One step at a time.

Warm regards, Dr. Sumi MS (Ayu)

WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IS DUE TO LONG STANDING MENTAL OVERLOAD STRESS IRREGULAR SLEEP AND OVERTHINKING WHICH TIRES THE BRAIN AND NERVOUS SYSTEM. THIS LEADS TO BRAIN FOG FORGETFULNESS CONFUSION LACK OF FOCUS MOOD SWINGS AND HEADACHES. THIS IS FUNCTIONAL AND REVERSIBLE IF THE MIND AND NERVES ARE PROPERLY NOURISHED AND CALMED.

STRESSFUL SITUATIONS ACT AS A TRIGGER BECAUSE THE MIND IS ALREADY SENSITIVE. MODERATE STRESS CONTINUING FOR MONTHS CAN CAUSE EXACTLY THESE SYMPTOMS.

THE FOUNDATION OF HEALING IS ROUTINE. SLEEP BEFORE 11 PM DAILY. WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME. AVOID MOBILE AND SCREENS AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE SLEEP. EVEN TWO TO THREE WEEKS OF GOOD SLEEP CAN REDUCE BRAIN FOG.

DIET SHOULD BE WARM COOKED AND REGULAR. AVOID SKIPPING MEALS EXCESS TEA COFFEE COLD DRINKS JUNK FOOD AND VERY DRY FOOD. USE A LITTLE GHEE DAILY IF DIGESTION ALLOWS. WARM MILK AT NIGHT IS VERY BENEFICIAL.

NOW COMING TO AYURVEDIC MEDICINES WHICH ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN YOUR CASE.

FOR MIND CLARITY AND CONCENTRATION BRAHMI CAPSULE ONE CAPSULE TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD OR SHANKHAPUSHPI SYRUP TWO TEASPOONS TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD

FOR BRAIN FOG OVERTHINKING AND MENTAL FATIGUE MANDUKAPARNI CHURNA HALF TEASPOON IN THE MORNING WITH WARM WATER

FOR STRESS ANXIETY POOR SLEEP AND WEAK NERVES ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA HALF TEASPOON AT NIGHT WITH WARM MILK IF MILK DOES NOT SUIT THEN TAKE WITH WARM WATER

FOR MEMORY SUPPORT AND HEADACHE SMRITI SAGAR RAS ONE TABLET ONCE DAILY AFTER BREAKFAST

IF HEADACHES AND HEAVINESS ARE PROMINENT BRAHMI OIL OR KSHIRABALA OIL HEAD MASSAGE TWO TO THREE TIMES A WEEK AT NIGHT FOLLOWED BY GOOD SLEEP

ALONG WITH MEDICINES DO DAILY DEEP BREATHING PRANAYAMA FOR TEN TO FIFTEEN MINUTES. EVEN A MORNING WALK IN SUNLIGHT HELPS RESET BRAIN CHEMISTRY.

AVOID MULTITASKING CONSTANT THINKING AND LATE NIGHT WORK. IF SYMPTOMS SUDDENLY WORSEN OR YOU EXPERIENCE SEVERE SLEEP LOSS OR DEPRESSION THEN PERSONAL CONSULTATION IS ADVISED.

Forgetfulness confusion lack of concentration excessive thinking brain fog mood swings and headaches indicate that the mind is overworked and the nervous system is fatigued In Ayurveda this is mainly a vata aggravation affecting the mind and brain along with mild pitta involvement due to stress

When stress continues for months the mind does not get proper rest Thoughts keep circulating excessive thinking increases worry sleep quality reduces and gradually focus memory and emotional stability are affected That is why you feel mentally tired even without physical work

This condition is functional and reversible if addressed properly

Regular sleep timing before 11 pm Avoid screens at least 1 hour before sleep Do not skip meals

Include warm and nourishing Avoid excess tea coffee spicy junk food Include ghee daily

Daily oil application on the scalp with warm sesame or brahmi oil before bath helps significantly Foot massage with oil at night is very grounding for the nervous system

For internal support mild medhya rasayana medicines are helpful such as Brahmi vati one tablet twice daily after food with warm water Ashwagandha capsule one capsule twice daily after food with warm milk Saraswathi aristha 4 teaspoon with equal quantity of water twice daily after meals

Pranayam like anulom vilom and short meditation help reduce excessive thinking Avoid overstimulation and multitasking

This is not weakness or loss of intelligence It is mental exhaustion With consistent routine nourishment and stress regulation the mind regains clarity focus and emotional balance

Hello 🙏

I understand your concern. The symptoms you describe—forgetfulness, confusion, excessive thinking, brain fog, mood swings, headaches, poor concentration and focus, especially worsening with stress for 1–6 months—are very common nowadays and treatable.

🔍 Likely Causes - Chronic mental stress & overthinking - Poor or disturbed sleep - Excess screen time - Nutritional deficiencies (B12, iron, vitamin D) - Anxiety spectrum / stress-related cognitive fatigue

From an Ayurvedic perspective This picture strongly suggests: - Vata aggravation (chanchal mind, worry, confusion) - Rajo–Tamo dominance (excessive thoughts, mood swings) - Majja dhatu & Manovaha srotas weakness - Mild agni disturbance → poor brain nourishment

🌿 What You Can Do (Practical & Safe) 🧠 Mind–Brain Care (Very Important) - Fix sleep timing (10–10:30 pm ideally) - Avoid mobile/screens 1 hour before sleep - Daily 10–15 min Anulom–Vilom + Bhramari - Reduce multitasking; do one task at a time

🌿 Medicines 1️⃣ Saraswatarishta - Dose: 15 ml + equal water - Time: After lunch & dinner - Benefit: Improves memory, concentration, confusion, anxiety

2️⃣ Brahmi Vati (or Brahmi Ghana Vati) - Dose: 1 tablet twice daily - Time: After food - Benefit: Brain fog, forgetfulness, focus, headaches

3️⃣ Ashwagandha Churna - Dose: ½ teaspoon - How: With warm milk - Time: At night - Benefit: Stress control, mood swings, mental strength, sleep

4️⃣ Shankhpushpi Syrup - Dose: 10 ml - Time: Morning, empty stomach - Benefit: Overthinking, restlessness, confusion

5️⃣ Jatamansi Churna - Dose: 250 mg (a pinch) - How: With honey or warm water - Time: Night - Benefit: Calms mind, reduces excessive thoughts, improves sleep

🧘‍♀️ Yoga & Pranayama (Daily) - Anulom-Vilom: 10 minutes - Bhramari: 5 rounds - Meditation: 5–10 minutes before sleep

🥗 Pathya (Diet & Lifestyle) ✔ 1 tsp cow ghee daily ✔ 5–6 soaked almonds in morning ✔ Warm, freshly cooked food ❌ Avoid excess tea/coffee ❌ Avoid late nights & mobile before sleep ⏳ Duration Continue for 6–8 weeks Improvement usually starts in 2–3 weeks

⚠️ Important Advice If symptoms persist, please get checked: - Vitamin B12 - Vitamin D - Thyroid (TSH) Low levels commonly cause brain fog & poor concentration.

❌ Donot get yourself into any addictions.

❌ Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks.

✔️ 100 steps after both meals are must.

✔️ Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food.

✔️ Prefer natural liquids like fruit juice, coconut water, lemon juice, kokum sharbat over packed ones.
