Dark patches in the private area are very common and are often caused by friction, sweating, shaving, hormonal changes, irritation from new soaps/products, fungal infection, or post-inflammatory pigmentation after itching. Since you mentioned mild itching and a recent change in personal care products, irritation or a mild fungal/inflammatory reaction is quite possible. Stop the new soap/intimate wash for now. Keep the area clean, dry, and avoid tight clothes. Use loose cotton underwear. Mild itching may be due to irritation or fungal infection. A simple clotrimazole cream/powder for 1–2 weeks may help if there is rash or sweating. Drink enough water and reduce excess sugar/junk food. Diet support Try improving: Hydration Fresh fruits Green vegetables Less refined sugar and junk food Sometimes darkening around groin/underarms can also be linked to insulin resistance or weight gain (called Acanthosis Nigricans), especially if the skin becomes thick and velvety. In thos case get your HbA1c tested. Medication: Syp. Sarivadhyasav 3 tsp twice a day after food.
