How effective is Ayurvedic treatment for back pain, and what are the best remedies? - #12857
I have been dealing with chronic back pain for a long time, and no matter what I try—painkillers, physiotherapy, or stretching exercises—the relief is always temporary. I recently read that Ayurvedic for back pain treatments focus on healing the root cause instead of just masking the symptoms, and I want to understand how this approach works. From what I understand, Ayurveda considers back pain as a Vata imbalance, which leads to nerve pain, stiffness, and inflammation. But how does Ayurveda treat back pain differently from conventional medicine? Are there specific herbs like Rasna, Guggulu, and Dashmool that help in reducing pain and strengthening the spine? I’ve also read about Kati Vasti, Abhyanga, and Elakizhi therapies, which involve herbal oil application and heat therapy for pain relief. How effective are these treatments? Has anyone successfully treated back pain with Ayurveda? What therapies or herbal medicines worked best for you?
