Doctors’ responses

Hello Fashola, Triple-negative breast cancer with lung metastasis is aggressive, and while chemotherapy is the primary treatment, Ayurveda can help manage side effects, improve immunity, and enhance overall well-being. Do you experience severe fatigue, nausea, or loss of appetite? Any pain, inflammation, or difficulty breathing? To support your body during and after chemotherapy, take Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) decoction to detoxify and boost immunity. Kanchnar Guggulu (2 tablets twice daily) may help in reducing tumor growth. Drink fresh wheatgrass juice daily for blood purification. Avoid processed foods, sugar, dairy, and heavy meats, and focus on fresh vegetables, turmeric, and herbal teas. For lung support, do gentle Pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhastrika) to improve oxygenation. External therapies like Abhyanga (oil massage with Mahanarayana Taila) and Panchakarma (Virechana or mild Basti under supervision) may help detox and rejuvenate. Let me know your current symptoms and chemotherapy side effects for a more tailored approach.

Hi Fashola, I'm truly sorry to hear about your struggles. In Ayurveda, treatment focuses on balancing the body's internal systems and boosting immunity. To support your treatment, it’s important to look at your digestive health, detoxification, and mental well-being. It’s crucial to focus on natural herbs, a diet rich in antioxidants, and immune-boosting foods like turmeric, ginger, and ashwagandha. That being said, Ayurvedic therapies like Panchakarma (detoxification therapy), medicinal herbs (like Turmeric, Ashwagandha, Tulsi, and Guduchi), and yoga/meditation for stress management may be helpful. However, please keep in mind that these should complement medical treatments and not replace them, especially for something as critical as cancer. How are you feeling mentally and emotionally—are you dealing with any stress or anxiety around your treatment? Also, how is your appetite and energy, especially after chemotherapy sessions? This will help guide a more holistic approach to support you.
