Hi Jayanta, Can you tell me if you experience any swelling, heat, or pain in the knees, especially after movement or at the end of the day? Also, how is your digestion and overall energy level—do you feel fatigued or weak, or is there any discomfort elsewhere in the body? Lastly, have you noticed any significant changes in your sleep or stress levels, as this can sometimes affect your healing process? This information can help me guide you towards a more tailored Ayurvedic and rehabilitative approach.

Hello Jayanta, How long has your knee bending worsened, and do you experience more pain at night or stiffness in the morning? Your condition suggests severe osteoarthritis with knee deformity and synovial fluid depletion, likely due to Vata and Kapha imbalance. While Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapy combined with physiotherapy can significantly improve mobility, reduce pain, and slow degeneration, complete straightening of both knees may not be entirely possible. However, consistent treatment can help regain better function and reduce discomfort. Abhyanga (medicated oil massage), Swedana (steam therapy), Janu Basti (oil pooling on knees), and Basti (medicated enema) help lubricate joints and relieve stiffness. Take Mahayog Raj Guggulu and Lakshadi Guggulu (1 tablet twice daily) for bone strength, along with Dashmool Kwath 20 ml twice daily to ease stiffness. Apply Dhanwantharam oil or Mahanarayana oil for daily knee massage, followed by gentle heat therapy. Ashwagandha and Shatavari churna (1 tsp with warm milk) strengthen bones and muscles, while avoiding sour, processed, and cold foods can prevent further aggravation. Favor warm, nourishing foods like ghee, soups, and cooked vegetables. Regular physiotherapy, mild yoga, and water therapy improve flexibility, and using the knee brace unloader offers additional support.
