Dealing with fibroids and associated heavy bleeding requires a careful, holistic approach in Ayurveda. As you’ve already been on Ashokarishta and Kanchanar Guggulu, let’s focus on managing your current symptom - heavy bleeding. However, remember to consult a qualified health provider before making any significant changes to your treatment plan.
To address the heavy bleeding, you might consider including Pushyanuga Churna, a classic Ayurvedic formula known for its effectiveness in managing excessive menstrual bleeding. Typically, 1 to 3 grams (or as advised by a practitioner) can be mixed with water and taken twice a day after meals.
In parallel, Shatavari, an herb known for its overall support of women’s health, can help balance the reproductive system. You may take 1-2 teaspoons of Shatavari powder with warm milk twice a day.
Additionally, Pomegranate juice can be beneficial. It’s traditionally used to support reproductive health. Drink half a cup twice daily. Dates and raisins can also be soaked overnight and consumed in the morning; they are useful in restoring energy and providing iron, counteracting blood loss effects.
Be mindful of diet; avoid spicy and oily foods, which could aggravate Pitta dosha and exacerbate bleeding. Instead, focus on cooling foods like cucumber and coconut water. Regular, gentle yoga or pranayama practices can be calming and support balance, but avoid very strenuous exercise.
If bleeding doesn’t subside, it’s crucial to address it swiftly with your healthcare provider. Persistent heavy bleeding can lead to anemia and other complications, requiring immediate medical evaluation. Do not delay seeking emergency care if you feel it necessary!
