Given the complexities of fertility, low AMH levels, and previous miscarriages, along with a repeated history of UTIs, it’s understandable you’d be seeking a balanced approach before considering another IVF cycle. Ayurveda offers some perspectives that might help harmonize your reproductive health.

Firstly, let’s address the fertility aspect. In Ayurveda, this connects closely with the ‘Shukra Dhatu’, responsible for reproductive tissue. Optimizing your digestive fire, or ‘Agni’, ensures that all bodily tissues, including the reproductive system, get nourishment. Include warming spices in your diet like cumin, fennel, and turmeric to support Agni.

Stress can impact fertility too. Regular practice of yoga and ‘Pranayama’ (breathing exercises) such as Nadi Shodhana or Anuloma Viloma, can help manage stress and balance hormones. These practices naturally enhance your body’s ability to conceive.

Consume fertility-boosting foods like sesame seeds, ghee, and dates to strengthen Shukra Dhatu. Shatavari, an Ayurvedic herb, might be beneficial in regulating your hormonal cycle, though you should consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herbs, especially when planning a family.

Regarding UTIs, focus on hydration. Barley water and cranberry juice can typically be helpful. Maintaining urogenital hygiene is crucial. After urination, swab the area with gentle natural cleansers, and wear breathable cotton undergarments. Ayurveda emphasizes avoiding excessive acidic or spicy foods that can irritate the urinary tract.

Regular consultation with both an Ayurvedic physician and your gynecologist will give comprehensive support for your unique needs. If you experience acute symptoms or recurrent infections, medical intervention from a healthcare provider would be essential to rule out complications.

Adopting an ayurvedic lifestyle implies patience, holistic alignment, and gradual improvements. Your health, both physical and mental, plays a critical role in nurturing and sustaining a pregnancy.
